can anyone give advice on VAPORIZERS please ?
hi everyone
the time has come, i have to give up smoking, i am doing well with an e-cigarette during the day but i then i have baccy in with my J's,
i do wish they would make an e- cig J,
so my thought is a portable personal vaporizer
i have borrowed a friends IOLITE unfortunately he had no instructions, i tried it today after we you tubed it but dont have the answers to my questions....
the IOLITE, gets hot to touch, is this normal ?
the tip of the pipe at lips got real hot and nearly burnt my lip, is this normal ?
when we turned it off when going out it carried on hissing in the case, how do you get round this as seems dangerous ?
and how do you know when your herb is finished with ?
and when there is no gas left ?
and do you drag on it when its hissing or when not hissing ?
i have now seen the IOLITE WISPR on you tube and this looks nicer, has anyone had personal experiences with these vaporizers ? is the wispr worth the extra money ?
and wheres the cheapest place to get them from ?
i want mine to be as discreet as possible, so i can leave it lying around and use in public while walking the dog etc. ideally.
we also want a table top one for when we play cards with friends as i am turning our house into a no smoking zone after x-mas, it will be vape or outside, so if theres a table top one you can recommend feel free to shout it out, hubby has always liked the sound the the volcano but are very pricey.....whats next best thing
again wheres the cheapest place to buy these from, i am in uk, anyone on here selling anything suitable?
thanks for your time folks and hope you are all well

Re: can anyone give advice on VAPORIZERS please ?
Hi Chillers, can't advise on the portable option but you should look at the 'Ariser extreme Q' for your static choice. They are awesome, well made with high quality components and they come with whip and bag attachments plus all the glass pieces you need. As far as I am aware, they will do everything a Volcano will, but cost just a third of the price. There is a thread about them on here somewhere, I found mine on ebay for around £200 and cant fault it
Re: can anyone give advice on VAPORIZERS please ?
Hey Chillers,
My buddy and I took the Iolite to this years 420 and it was fantastic.
We found it does get quite warm.
I found that just deep breath in from the tube , hold it for a few seconds and exhaling out my nose, then repeat a few times without removing the tube from my lips seemed to get me pretty well stoned. I think I remember being introduced to you guys by Stan at 420 but i'm not sure if we had the iolite out.. It had me in a very very happy verry very spaced out state. Think it was a short stop, a shaking of a few hands a mumbled hello or two before we bailed due to being tooo spaced out
I got a Vapir one with bags about 3 years ago now and its still going strong. 2 Bags of vapor and I'm pretty well stoned. It gets slated but it does ok by me.
A pal of mine has the volcano.... Nuff said...
The vapes in I think its Baba coffeeshop gave a really good hit.
I also tried the one being demo'd in I think Katsu a year or so ago and this again gave a really good hit.
Think those two are the same as the one in the cannabis museum on the red light.. Verdamper glass contraption bong kinda thing...
Have you checked out some of the other vaporiser threads on ACD and good luck quitting.

Re: can anyone give advice on VAPORIZERS please ?
I have both an iolite and a magic flight launch box. I prefer the launch box in most cases, although they are both very good.
From your post, it sounds that the Iolite is working properly. It does get a bit warm. You know when the chamber is finished when you are no longer getting any taste or vapor. For me, that equates to roughly 15-20 minutes per full chamber.

Can't recommend a handheld but for tabletop I'm another Arizer extreme Q user and I'm 100% happy with my purchase , well worth the £199 asking price (EDIT) as Mongoose says check out the Arizer thread
Oh and good luck on quitting the dreaded baccy

Re: can anyone give advice on VAPORIZERS please ?
just an update on IOLITE and thank you's
been using it this week and still finding the same problems, gets very hot to touch, and think this could be dangerous, so i am ruling the iolite out now
i really want to try the magic flight launch box but dont want to pay all that money for it to find i dont like it, ( shame theres nowhere in uk i can go and try it ) unless any of you lovely people are within travelling distance to the west midlands ?
also with the magic flight launch box is there anyway around the plastic lid being clear, as i think it would be better to leave lying around with a coloured top so you couldnt see anything in it ?
and yes that arizer looks just the job, will shop about, and i think EDIT have a sale on fridays i read somewhere but slated for bad customer service ???
HULLDJ refresh my memory, i dont recall your name ?? sure it was nice meeting you though

Re: can anyone give advice on VAPORIZERS please ?
Hi Chillers, Where did you get it ? they are guaranteed for 2 years, I've had one changed, you just need purchase proof. I've been through 3 of them now, I had one since they first came out, 2 bought and 1 changed. They do wear out, but I used them a lot exclusively apart from occasional use of the MFLB. They do heat up in the area of the chamber but shouldn't get too hot if you hold the side strips things, unless it's defective. Also when you switch off it does a couple of burns to exhaust the gas.
I've just had a WISPR for a few days now. It's Iolite Mk.2, it looks pretty good and I find it a bit easier than it's older sibling to load and operate, but it does the same job with pretty much the same mechanics, a bit faster heat-up, and you can put it down and it doesn't fall over.
I think I'm getting the other half one for Christmas, although she hasn't got to vapes yet she did show interest in this one, it's a nice design.
Breathe

Edit. I read and saw that you borrowed the iolite. the Magic flight is good but very limited in that it's a quick hit, like a pipe, and dont get me started on the batteries, a couple of hits on each one. With the other two vapes I like to heat up and toke away for a while with a book. If I was starting off now then I would get the WISPR, it has a 2 year warranty.

Re: can anyone give advice on VAPORIZERS please ?
hi spidergawd
thanks for that info,
the wispr definately looks nicer , does it have the same problem of it being hot ? and does that one keep hissing once switched off and packed away ?
really liking the look of this i-Dragon Vaporizer, cheaper, quicker, no gas, and you cannot tell what it is at all which i am really keen on....just cant find any reviews of it at all, just looking for best prices and its around £125
how do you find the MFLB ?
you seen this i dragon spider?
thanks again
(sorry, forgort to mention i had it off a friend to use for the week, think he has box and instructions still but he couldnt find them so just figured it by looking at you tube videos, will mention to him it may be faulty as it gets too hot for me to touch comfortably)

You must have posted as I edited.
. It's like everything, theres too much choice.
No the wispr doesn't get hot at all and it switches off straight away, a much better design. Re the i-Dragon Vaporizer, I dont know who makes them but they look like a iolite rip, with some variations.Edit. Re: can anyone give advice on VAPORIZERS please ?
lol, ok
yes it could be an iolite rip off, i just like the disguise of it, and it comes with power supply as well as batteries i believe which is a massive bonus, manufactured in Switzerland, company called Earth Spirit.
the wispr sound much better,
this will be a xmas prezzie from hubby so will put them both on my list....LOL
thanks again for the info, nothing like a personal review

Wispr is a winner....the battery situation with the magic box is too much hassle....
But the Vape Pen is the true master of disaster!

don't panic...smoke some organic....
Re: can anyone give advice on VAPORIZERS please ?
cant believe i cant find any reviews of this at all, very unusual,
looking at the wisprs i think this one comes in at half the price, (wispr £190 on paradox) he said he will do it at £100 for me.... and it has a torch...LOL
smokestaxlitenin, does that mean the vape pen is rubbish?? was gonna get one as quite cheap to have as a spare to have around the house.
thanks guys

magic flight is awesome.... plus they have a new plug in battery.... so you dont need to worry about the rechargable ones.... the new adaptor has a heat control too... which is f'n awesome.... the thing is super small.... and just works.
