about two years ago we were at a supermarket just before closing and there was a man in front of us paying with a 500 for something around 20€, he looked like a wrecked cocaine dealer

I did'nt have too much of a problem using 500 euro notes..used em in coffeshops and a couple resturaunts...
On another note Dampkring had some of the best weed at reasonable prices in the dam when I was in there in March 2011.
The one thing I did notice was the cockiness of the budtender who I beleive was the manager or owner and his security. A guy tried to touch the buds he was being shown and the BT/owner flipped out.. guess he was afraid the guy was gonna run off with some bud..

Hmm..just read the article Boner, Someone should tell this to Wells Fargo, Ordered 10k last august for my September trip and got all $500 euro notes...Alot of places did refuse or hassle me about them, but some like Barney's and 420 did take them after checking them out with not too much trouble and a few resturaunts did also.
For my nest trip in Feb and March I will request no $500's thanks for article Boner!
