So according to the statement, the two Dampkrings share in name only, except one has a #2 after the name? Smells a little fishy to me, mixed with some BS.
Every time I've been to both, their menus were exactly the same. My last visit to both places was last year. I was wanting a particular Riffman hash but the Handboogstraat shop was out. The budtender advised me that their "other" shop on Haarlemmerstraat had it in stock. Maybe since then someone bought the place but kept the name, dunno...
I can understand how some staff in shop #1 would want to separate themselves from shop #2, especially given the abundance of negative comments about their staff, particularly about a certain wait person, and now this...

i know this is slightly off topic, but back on the situation of short changing in dam etc, my mate last year ended up in the red light district paying 50 to a thai woman and only had a 200 euro note (might have been 100), the woman apparently seemed certain she didnt have change, as he was her first job of the night (apparently) but she said, he could do literally anything he wanted to her, and she would do anything he wanted to him.. dont know why he did it tbh

Quite possible though , I always thought Betty Boop/Betty Too were run by the same people , which they were up to 5 or so years ago & part of the sale was that they got to keep & use the Betty Too name

Some budtender tried to short change me in 09 ..but didnt work for him my total was 30euro gave him one bill a 50euro he gave me back 10euro whitout moving my hand..i said eum HELLO I GAVE YOU 1 F>>ing BILL TOTAL WAS 30..MAKE THE MATH!! he replied Oh sorry... I the said DONT BE SORRY UN WIZE MEN...then saw same guy pulling on some other person the same week i told the hazed client what just happend to him wasnt happy..i was walking out when we was about to be kick out im guessingg cuz he freak out 2 steeps away from the counter (hehe) ...the some other Budten tried to not give my change back 2euro when i said something he rudely turned around saying i took a tip it the thing to do has a tourist (i remeber the end that ppl working in CS would kinna be rude about you giving them a tip)i said excuse me? i work in service you tell ya one thing you never take money from a client its robbing your client..him this was where in live you be out of a job and would never work a gain in any service job...then sid i what my fucking change!! even if was 2euro made me mad!! guy at barney tried a few time also to pull little stunts du same genre!! im guessing happend alot whit tourist being 2 high and budtender knowing that these ppl are in semi haze land ...and some others dont mind like this guy 2 years ago giving out 50euro has a tip to the asian/brit budtender at barneys so ppl just have alot of $$$ and dont give a fuck !!
