Storz and Bickel Plenty Porta-vape

Post by Pierre von Mondragon »

Woo check the stylin' on this mofo, 'spose it's too soon for any reviews, but this shoots straight to the top of my (non-music tech) want list, http://www.storz-bickel.com/vaporiser/p ... rizer.html

Don't think I'm so keen on the power lead though, if there is no battery/charger, then it potentially shoots itself in the foot a bit re stealthing.

Can't find any standalone pics just now.

Looks pretty solid. Not stealth, that's for sure and not cheap either.

I had my delivery yesterday and after having a quick play around (I've still not quite got my head around the safety trigger thing) My intial thoughts are I am happy with my purchase (I have been looking for a portable vape to use on my travels and I can see me getting alot of use out of it) it looks similar to a heat gun but it does not blow air, the settings do not go as high as the Volcano or other vapes I have but that has not been a problem. I have changed my vaping style, I used to vape at 200 > 215 > 230 I now just stick around the 200 mark until the herb is trashed, I have noticed one issue with the Plenty, that the herb chamber could be easier to fill (but I am quite clumsy when high). If anyone wants any further info or pics let me know.

It is portable, but it doesn't have a battery, right? Do you have to be plugged into the power mains?

Yes, it has to be plugged in, it has no battery or other power source, I think the use of the word portable by Storz & Bickel could cause some confusion, it's no magic flight box but it is alot more "portable" than their Volcano.

Fascinating stuff, so the airflow is provided by the vapee, as it were? ie. You gotta suck on it?

For discreet mobility, check this out...
http://vaporfection.com/products/mivape/
They had a booth at the CC expo, but were only demoing the table top model- a very nice cheaper ($400) and quieter alternative to the Volcano, and does whip and bag. I do like the retro/shop tool look of the new S&B model. Having a car adapter would add some level of portability I guess, although whipping that bad boy out in public...
