Hello from Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Hello from Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Alow me to introduce myself, i am a long time lurker but 1st time poster. I have been a long time lover of our favorite herb since my late teens, my first 'taste' being in a sweaty wearhouse in Blackburn circa 1988 and has stayed with me ever since, also turned my hand to a bit of closset cultivation for a few years prior the arrival of my first child.
I spent my late teens and early twenties based in Germany(Osnabruck) which alowed me easy access to our favorite city, spending at least onne long weekend a month in Amsterdam for about 5 years, however my last full visit was back in 1995, i have managed just a few short visits since with work, mostly stays of 24/48 hrs.
My wife and i have just booked up for a week for her 40th in April next year(this will be her 1st visit) staying spitting distance from the Vondlepark on Roemer Visscherstraat.
With it being so long since my last visit i thought i best start a bit of the old interweb research as im sure she will be a very diffrent city these days.
Thanks for reading and hopefully see you about the boards.

Re: Hello from Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Welcome to the forum.
What dates will you be in Amsterdam?
I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town and any Toke & Talks that are planned.
With all of your visits you must have a favorite shop.
Enjoy

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.
4:20 on 4/20 at 420 Cafe ( de Kuil ) is a stoners holy grail.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.

Re: Hello from Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Very different city indeed. Welcome Rigsby.
I hadn't been to AMS in about 5-6 years, and was surprised by all the construction that had gone up since when I was there during CC 2011.
Your hotel is in a great location for mixing culture (e.g., museumplein) and strain-hunting. If you're staying at the Quentin England don't get stuck in one of their windowless rooms, like I did around ten years ago (granted, it was dirt cheap).
Cheers
