Re: Concentrates : Cannabis Extraction/Concentrate
Yeah it's called CO2 extraction it's what I do when I bored of BHO, I mix my trim and CO2 sticks, then I shake until the trim has became dust (about 5mn because it's freaking cold)Uncle Ron wrote:Nice read, thanks.
Thumbs up to the author who explained several times why Liquid Nitrogen isn't for the masses.
A compound I've been thinking about using is dry ice (frozen Carbon Dioxide/CO2)
= place with frozen trim/bud in special bag (can't find the link, sorry); more than slightly shaken, sorry James (play on 007's Martini)
or
= mixed with water in a Bubble machine; better at cooling water than the shit load of ice typically needed.
This stuff is more stable than Liquid Nitrogen and other popular cooling compounds; it's cheaper; definitely more readily available and less likely to cause unwanted attention. Liquid Nitrogen = Rocket Fuel (eventually)
Happy extracting... safely
Then I sieve it in a 220 microns sieved bag and I press the result. After a few weeks curing it becomes like a moroccan hash, with the taste of the weed it comes from, and it's a bit stronger than a good moroccan polm

First Experiments with BHO have been positive , done two small runs results below , I like the first run the most for colour , consistency etc

Nice Cisco! I did a small batch Monday (10g) I've been purgeing it on a clone mat on a timer, 3 hours off, 3 on, stiring 3 times a day. From what ive been seeing, heating than cooling forces the butane bubbles out fast. Its looking real good
I'll get some pics up tonite..

SloWhite, what is the temperature of the clone mat?
How many days, or weeks, or months do you plan on purging the oil?
A process I've been thinking about trying...
- Heat oven to 150C/300F. Temperature will liquify but not burn the oil. Also, any water present will evaporate, always a good thing, no?
- Use vibrating mechanism such as an electric toothbrush w/out brush head (only metal stub). The vibrating action should cause the bubbles to rise, much like the process used in cement projects.
- Remove from heat; As oil cools, pour into.... haven't quite decided on the type of practical yet discrete vessel.
Happy trails...

how about a nice hot bowl of water and lower yer oil into it in another glass container..let it get sticky, work it...make sure its paper thin when yer playin with her...when it starts to get hard..and cool.throw it back in the freezer, then when its forzen ,do it again..30-50 times......heating pads...just like ol michigan....and thats where spoon becomes spoon... and i see mayhem ensuing..lol..maybe im too technical,or maybe you kids are in hurry
..is 2 months to do it right asking too much..some of ya cure yer weed longer then that
..ya wanted my technique, well its in yer face...alot of ya know what it is when its done..now you can do it too..and if ya order now we will include 5 sets of ginsu steak knives..all you do is pay seperate postage and handling..heheheh...i got racin to do,forza awaits..544 in the world e class

I was hoping to get the Cap Snaffler. Are operators standing by?USBONGLORD wrote:..and if ya order now we will include 5 sets of ginsu steak knives..
Isn't it great being seasoned enough to remember these old ads.
Seriously tho, thanks for sharing this technique m'Lord. Thou rocketh.

Thanks for the tips , certainly gave me more to think about and to research

Here it is.. Clone mat.. Prob gets to 100-110 deg. or so..

In the 4days on the mat with the 3on 3off, its def cooking down. At first it was like amber oil, now its getting like a budder.. Here it is cold..

Turn on the mat come back in a hour. Scrape it around abit to loosen..

With a razor and the pick get into a neat pile and work for a few mins..

Scoop up with the razor..

Drag it back out and let dry again..

Tonite will be the last night on the mat with the timer. In the moring i will loosen up and spread it out thin again then into the freezer. Then once a day out the freezer for a defrost..
Hope it comes out good, looks like it will..

Looking good Slo.
Need to work on those nails though.
Thanks for the answer to the Q about the temp. of the heat pad. F and not C, correct?
I was posting at the same time you were but my post got bumped into the matrix, lost forever.
Let me see if I got this right, from what I was able to decipher after removing from my face. Thanks USBL!
- Purge as usual with hot, not scalding water. Check.
- Spread thin and work it until it begins to harden. Check.
- Place in freezer. Check.
- Repeat 30-50 times. Check.
Happy concentrating, safely...

Re: Concentrates : Cannabis Extraction/Concentrate
let me politely correct that..when TOO much heat is applied,it becomes budder, when controlled its all good
