The best frites are from Vleminix which is on Voetboogstraat, those Mannekin pis ones dont even come close, try them with the satay sauce - OMFG.

You're missing out, they're always open at lunch time.

I just wanna say Best frite iv eaten in Holland were in Zanvoort!
if i remeber good it was called Fritures d anvers

The best I've had in Holland were from Haarlem, Spekstraat to be precise.

Don't forget the frites by the Westerkerk. Damn fine. Non touristy frite places seem to only open daytime hours, this includes Vleminckx and the one by the Kerk.

Sorry but the best fries are in Belgium. That's why all these places have Belgian names.

1) Friday nights at Van Gogh - they serve alcohol and have music (live or DJ)
2) The greenhouses at Hortus on a cold day
