If you are thinking about hitting the Gollem on Raamsteeg, you may be disappointed as it was closed both in May and October 2011 when I tried to renew my acquaintance.

Good alternatives would be Beer Temple on Neuwezijds Voorburgwal, Nederlands Biercafe 't Arendsnest on Herengracht, or Hoppe on Spui. There are others so you might want to continue your research.

thanks Gapie I appreciate the lol. However I don't know that my post was really geared towards anybody laughing out loud. I've certainly been funnier. Still I am grateful that somebody out there appreciates me. So here's a joke:

What do you call a woman with two twats? N'Dubz.

thanks notsofasteddie for the update, that's a bit disappointing as I'd heard good things about Gollem. Wanted to try some of the Westvleteren. I have those other bars saved in my Google maps along with some others. Will be mainly smoking but sometimes a beer or two just breaks up the day nicely and I like good beer not alcoholic piss.

There's a beer specialty shop directly across from the Gollem on Raamsteeg where you can "buy and fly" some Westvleteren. I did back in October and intend to again in May 2012.

cool, thanks nsfe, I shall pop in there then, hopefully I shall discover a variety of new beers there, only about a minutes walk from the apartment, handy.

You have been posted on the March Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/membe ... le&u=69225

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

My bluesman and myself will be there in that time period as well, for sure by his birthday which is March 3rd.

I will have all the exact days, times, dates etc nailed down right after new year.

Maybe we can schedule some Toke and talks and Gapie will patiently show us around to some new places. He has long legs and can walk across the dam in 10 mins, I hobble along and make it here in about 30 mins but we manage to end up at the same places and get verrrrrrrrrrrrrry verrrrrrrrrrry high! :D

Thanks flybynite, I was going to email you but you've saved me the bother.

A TnT would be a nice addition to the weekend Gapie and 2rollingstoned, a marathon session like I've read about with some ACD members would be great. A little scary, I may end up on the floor in a ball, I used to be a decent smoker a few years ago.

I will keep an eye out for any details, I know D and R have a surprise booked for me as the stag, I suspect it's Ajax on Sunday but I could be wide of the mark, nobody is telling, not even my fiance. She promises it isn't too horrific and I'll enjoy it.

Hey Gapie my friend, don't want to hijack his thread here, but we plan to try to stay near Basjoe this time so you don't have to walk so far and neither do I haha!! Look forward to seeing you buddy!

Can't wait to see everyone for a toke or ten! :D

7 weeks to go now. I've done my homework thanks to this forum and created a directory of places to go. So little time so don't want to spend it lost, done that before. Also found my very lost passport, nearly cancelled it and bought another. Haven't been abroad since 2008 to Barcelona, had two daughters since. Will be trying to make the most of the weekend, must avoid sleeping through it all. Permanently knackered these days.
