Looks like the daze of cheap TATL (Trans Atlantic) flight is gone by the way of the Dodo, meaning extinct.
Looking at the breakdown of fares, some of them could be done away with like one or both of the security fees; if airport management focused on air transportation instead of turning airports into retail and commercial centers, usage fees could be restructured; and finally fuel surcharges. Not only will they remain, they will no doubt increase, and probably to a point where it will be higher than the ticket itself. I wonder whatever happened to the promise from industry heads that these fees were temporary and when the price of oil (fuel) stabilizes, these charges would be eliminated. Sad...
