I went to Prix D'Ami because of a recommendation from a friend. Upon entering me and my friends got I.D'd from the angry looking bouncer sitting half on a stool at the metal detector in the front door. Surely you should be pleasant in his job, dealing with smokers who just smile all day must be getting him down. Anyhoo, after being kindly aloud in by Mr Happy we headed to the counter. I looked at the menu and since I was on holiday, I was buying what I thought was the best weeds and hashes. Top of the menu at 18Euro a gram was Dr Greenspoons Sister which had a description saying it was the strongest. So I got it. It looked like shit! Tiny pods dotted along stalks. All stems with the tiny pods and no smell. It tasted like some shit dirt weed. I'm sure the guy said it was a plant that doesn't bud like normal, which I believed since he worked in a coffeeshop. Probably a big mistake, should of went with my eyes when they first saw and thought "what the hell is that". I was going to try Tai Stick but he recommended that I didn't, as it wasn't that good. It was only 9Euro so I didn't bother, just wanted to try it though. He should of warned me about the other shit though. My friends got AMG & Blueberry. We went up stairs and got a pool table. We all played pool and ordered food and drinks which came in no time and was delicious.

So I would say that the service was good, the facilities was brilliant, but the weed service could of been better. Even though they did have a cool free skins dispenser. Go give it a try and see what you think. Definitely worth a look, or a chill with a munch and a game of pool for 7.50 an hour. 8/10

The budtender was not telling ya lies buddy.... Grinspoon doesnt really grow fat nugs.. Its an almost pure sativa, with a very long grow cycle... I am also gonna say, you missed the effect of this weed, probably cause, like most of us, you had smoked a shitoad of other herb, making the clear, sativa high which grinspoon provides, non existent....
Or, perhaps, you arenot too well aquainted with the effects of a sativa... Either way, that may shed some light on it for you.

Yip, you are probably correct. I did smoke a shit load of weeds and was high before buying Dr Grinspoon. My friend did say that that could be one of the shit looking, but great stone plants. But i just couldn't stay sober enough before smoking it all. Sadly. It did taste like crap i must add. Not a fruity or pleasant sweet taste. Woody and earthy, weedy plant taste.

So this makes Prix D'Ami my favourite coffee shop. They didn't just sell me shit after all, and prevented me buying shit. 9/10. Will be a 10/10 when they demand that the grumpy looking bouncer wears a constant smile that is inviting. We know you are a bouncer and deterrent, but just deal with people how they deal with you. We walk in smiling and he stands there frowning trying to look harder than he already does. If someone try's any shit, frown and throw them out. We smile, you smile. :D :D :D

IN all fairness to the place, its in a rougher part of town and they do get some weird people that come in there.

Just got back from my 3 day trip, and was in here yesterday and this morning befor my flight. The place is very nice, we sat upstairs on the very comfy sofas, bought the NYC diesel, tasted great, smelt great and was a great high, they ask you to buy a drink if you wonna stay though, but that's no biggie as I always buy a drink from a coffeeshop if I'm gonna sit for a while. Staff were great too

Was there once. If I remember right, in december 2008. I can´t remember what type of bud I bought, but I don´t think it was bad. Had a game of pool there. The atmosphere reminded me of a youth club. So I don´t think, I´ll show up there again.

I was there again about 4 weeks ago... it was better than the first time I went a few years back.. nice leather comfotable sofas, few pillows and some nice lcd tv's to kick back and watch...

Agree, the fella on the door was a little bit moody, told us to leave our bags at the door (fine by me, providing they are safe)

Ended up buying a ham and cheese toastie or 3 and a nice mixed fruit smoothie.

Bought 2.5 of AMG from there which was lovley, nicely grown and probably the first weed I will buy when I step out of Centraal Station on Monday.

Roll on Queensday!

HI

Ive found this place by searching for pool tables, could anyone please tell me if you pay per game or per hour etc?

Im not very good and never get to stay on for long when its winner stays on, quite fancy getting a table for an hour or two ideally. If that cant be done here, can anyone recommend anywhere else?

Thanks

Most places typically charge 1 Euro per game, prehaps the odd greedy fucker of a place even 2 Euro.

I have only go very seldom because it is a true trap with tourist.

The weeds are not quality but their haschich is sometimes not bad.

Just got back from my first trip to the Dam and have to be fair we always ended up back here. Stopped here on our way home to the airport. It is a really nice relaxed place with comfy sofas, great staff and even waitress service.... Good menu....Tried a few different strains....Had some white widow here and spaced me out for a while....not too bad though cos we were so relaxed and comfortable........Have to be fair....if it is your first trip to the dam, go here first because a lot of other places are not as comfy and pleasant. easy to find as well....straight down the damrak and take an alley on your right.... Not sure why people have bad reviews for this place as we found this place to be our favourite.

The interior and dealer station have been completely redone,,.outstanding layout....AMG was cup entry weed, was ok...their hash entry was honing hash...supposed to have a honey taste...i eitHer lost my bag or gave it away, shame.... Oh well, not really a hash dude.

Have to say I was extremely impressed by Prix D'ami. They have had a re fit since I last went. Expanded menu. Friendly service. Massive place with loads of room and very comfy. They even got rid of the turnstyle!
Given its location I understand the need for a bouncer and metal detector I suppose. Means more safety for the customer from dodgy fucks that go around stealing from other coffeeshop customers.
Believe me there are more around than you might think.
