Didn't really care for the place in the past. Going to have give them another look. Especially if they adopt the MY menu.

He didnt take the D'ami over. Its actually a female who used to be one of the better bud tenders, now the co owner with the guy who owns the mellow yellow. talked to her this morning. Actually I have been partying with her all week and just found out the story. The woman knows her weed. I bought a bunch of smoke there this week and every bit was good.

The story about the Prix D’Ami
When I first heard that the Prix had been sold to the owner of the Mellow Yellow, I was worried because I liked the old prix. Knowing that mellow yellow was good I thought It could not be that bad. Well, My first day there I hit the shop and lo and behold got some great Buddha cheese and some isolator hash. When sitting back in one of there 3 new smoking rooms, I was like wow this is good gear. Asked about some of the old people and they said that Linda and a few others were still there.
The next day, When I arrived for my morning wake and bake and their excellent coffee, Linda was there. She immediately remembered me and we did the traditional dutch hug. At that point she came back to 1st floor room with me and DH and smoked a spliff with me. We talked about old times at the Dami. SO every day, I start out there buying 0ne good strain of smoke after the next. Met up with a couple of friends from VDF and Linda once again brought her morning coffee in with me into the smoke room and sat with all 4 of us. I thought what a great gal to join us for a smoke again.
Well the last day we were there, of course we bopped over there to say goodbye and I ask her if she wanted a strippenkarrt that I didn’t finish. She offered me money, smoke and after saying she didn’t need to do that she offered us a drink of coffee or juice. I said ok if you insist. Well she comes back to the smoke room with me again and we begin to talk. I was telling her of my worries about the sell of the shop but was very pleased with the smoke more then before, and that I was glad to see some old familiar faces. I asked her about the Owner and she tells me its her. I was like wow really? She tells me the old owner was not as passionate about the place like she was and that he had some trouble with the law and was in jail for a bit. Linda got together with <I forget his name> but the guy from the Mellow Yellow, who is as passionate about keeping the coffeeshops safe from the government. He is her partner in the deal but it seems she runs that shop and he the MY. I was so pleased. She talked about the different strains of weed and how if its not good smoke, she doesn’t want it in her shop.
Yes the music is still too loud, but it never bothered me, but she will turn it down if you ask.
I highly recommend this shop even if you just want to buy some smoke and not stay. The coffee is good and they had some great looking space cakes and brownies which I wanted to try and forgot. IM sure after finding out all this good info, that they are very good. Peace all.

Hey, Cattales. I had written off Prix D'ami as an average CS and quit stopping there. Sounds like they have made improvements. I'm back in the Dam late tonight and fly out tomorrow afternoon. (I've been in Poland since 4/21.) Going to have to stop by for a buy and a cup of coffee tomorrow morning.
BTW, it was great meeting you and DH at 4/20. Hope we can meet up again some time.

I agree shady. She was very adamant that the government there not impose any more restrictions on the coffeeshops.
