Hello, I am new to this forum and I've never been to Amsterdam before! I will be there this New Year's Eve, and would like some suggestions for which coffee shop me and my friends should go to and where to party that night.

Also, we are staying at the Hotel HEM Amsterdam, has anyone heard anything bad/good about it?
I would appreciate your help in everything.

if only it was me who should spend the New Year's Eve in Amsterdam
I would probably stop by Voyager and / or Green Place to buy some prime weed / hash .. and then go down to
either 't Nes Cafe (arrive early) or Stones Café to get a few beers
then down to Basjoe
and then end in a nightclub or bar

You and Your friend should try stix coffeeshop on utrechtsestraat for their Nepalese Temple Ball ( A dark soft hash with a mellow high ) then walk to escape nightclub on rembrandtplein (Dress smart and tip the bouncer on the way out). Oh I recommend the gunpowder from stix ( sprinkle a little with your ntb ).
