Greetings all !

Moan, some unexpected money crap stuff is probably going to prevent me spending the New Years Eve in A'dam. Oh boy, that hurts !

Still, I have my train ticket that is all paid for, and i have only two options about it : try to resell it, or simply use it.
I could spend just a day in Amsterdam, hoping back in a train in the evening, with the hope that having a ticket will avoid be being fined (ticket yes, but for other train other day...).

Or I could spend a day & a night, which would give me a little more time to enjoy, provided I find some place that is open all night long. never heard about any CS open all night. Are there smokers-friendly (and just friendly as well) bars which stays open all night ? Or would i be stuck roaming the streets & channels all night long ?

any tip will be much appreciated !

try the greenhouse effect bar mate they should be partying round the clock on new years eve!

Amsterdam is not an all night city. There are a several bars that stay open until 3 and few that stay open until 4. So if you stay overnight, is that NYE? Yes, that will be just for the NYE night, arriving on 31st early afternoon, and leave on the 1st.

ok, got some more informations on another forum. It happens that some people I know will be there too, so that is cool. Otherwise, there's something called "lost in Amsterdam", kinda shisha bar, which stays open all night, plus a few more places.

Half the city will be open all night NYE, I'm sure you won't have a problem finding somewhere.
