Can a plant with few leaves grow nice buds?

Post by ZBeebs »

Lets say you have a plant that for some reason starts dropping leaves like crazy after switching to 12/12, and has no fan leaves left except for the top ones a week into flowering, as well as dropping many of the other larger leaves already...now at about 3 weeks flowering... and lots of buds forming on the other plants, but this one is way behind...

Will I eventually get decent buds from this plant, or am I better off killing it now and letting the others get more light?

Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly?

If the buds and surrounding foliage are still growing, I would.
My thought - if the plant doesn't fully develop, the material (specifically trichomes) could be used in a variety of ways such as hash, butter, etc...

I would suggest looking at some pics of SOG's/SCROG's. One thing that should stand out is the lack of any fan leaves below a certain height. The difference between your situation and this example is that your plant leaves are "dropping" whereas in SOG's/SCROG's, the leaves are removed with intent.
