Ironic it would seem (to me), to find so many fine law-abiding citizens in this forum.
In most but not all countries, perhaps almost everyone in this forum would be an outlaw???
I had a fake ID when I was 18 and the drinking age had just turned from 18 to 21. What did that make me? Cool, smart, sophisticated, or none of the above?
I didn't have to ask someone over the age, that's why I had a fake ID. In the context of this thread, he's wants someone to buy for him. Huge difference... although certain penalties could be the same, as already mentioned in this thread (owner looses his ass, meaning everything). I sure the fuck ain't gonna be the one stupid enough to jeopardize my freedom, a business, and the livelihood of the staff of the C/S (if license is revoked).

Isn't it ironic, don't ya think? :o
Are we hypocrites, or are we responsible adults making a rational decision by not supporting or contributing to the delinquency of a minor?
When I was a minor, I didn't always make rational decisions - I used a fake ID, nothing rational about that, well I suppose it depends on the level of maturity. Mine was somewhat lacking obviously.

Some seem to have lost their way, backbiting and all that. Move on...
Next...
It's worse to have a fake ID than to ask someone to buy you weed IMO, because if the police catch you in a CS with a fake ID the owner may have problems, but if the police catch someone selling you coffeeshopshop weed outside of the CS the owner can't be arsed...
How could the owner/budtender be aware about what every gram of weed he sells will be used to ? Once it's out of his building he doesn't care...

Most coffee-shops I've been to don't ask for ID, last time i went was last October. It kind of depends on your look and how you act. Play it cool, if you get asked for ID just say you left it at your hotel, don't argue and move onto the next shop, unless its right next door! Also I find from personnal experience that the coffee shops on the outskirts of Dam are less likely to ask for ID than the more commercial ones in the centre. Anyway, good luck, and if you do get some bud remember to take it easy!!!

Some of us want to keep the shops open Einstein.
Dear Marco,
Just an observation, kind sir.
Not condoning or encouraging the purchase of anything not meant for a minor.
If I'm mistaken, please point out which part of my post encourages making a purchase for a minor.
BTW, I do qualify for the Mensa.

The best way to do it in my opinion, asking a stranger in the street is putting yourself in danger; and like he says, do take it easy. :D.
What a long strange trip it is.

Not condoning or encouraging buying anything illicit for a minor.

BTW, if you bought booze for me with your fake ID when I was a minor... you'd be the coolest in my book :-)
I might qualify for an AARP card but I still make irrational decisions daily, and who knows where my maturity level is?
That post should be sufficient evidence of my lack of maturity, haha.
My question now is... since cannabis may be illegal where some of you live... and you risk going to jail because it is illegal, will you still continue with your illegal behavior?

If you are comfortable risking getting a shop closed, and all the jobs that may be lost in the process, go for it. If they have a lazy budtender who does not check, you get caught and the shop gets shut down, do you really want that on your karma?

Marco kids have been going into CS's for long before you arrived in Holland, how many shops have lost their licenses as a result I wonder.
Hell you must have been a good little f^%(ker when you were young, or has it come with middle age?

I got busted with a fake ID, so I was no angel. On the other hand, I am not going to encourage kids to skirt the law, especially in this highly charged anti-cs political environment.

Are you suggesting no coffeeshops been closed due to (in some part) serving minors?

FYI, I don't live in Holland.

So it has come with middle age then Marco.
I'm not suggesting anything, just wondering.

Like most of us, it probably came the day after we became 'legal', non?

I still live in Amsterdam, but they say that is NL not Holland

^^ That's coming from someone who ran a coffeeshop and not 2 tokes.

Not sure if this question belongs in this thread but... it may?
Who is allowed to sell weed in Amsterdam?
Is one allowed to re-sell the weed they bought at a CS in AMS?
