CS suitable for larger groups

Post by Wilf »

Hi,

I'm visiting the dam in a few weeks, main purpose is to do a bit of a CS crawl over 2 nights. I've been before a few times but this time I'm taking 5 old friends to sample some good stuffs.

I've got places like Dampkring, Paradox, Amnesia, 420, Basjoe and Voyagers on my visit list but am just a bit concerned that some of these places won't be able to cater for 6 blokes seating wise, as I'm sure many will already be busy on arrival as we're there on a weekend. Has anybody got any knowledge on the size of the  above mentioned CS? Or any suggestions of places that will have plenty of room but still offer a good friendly vibe and a good smoke/drinks/munchies? I want to avoid the larger touristy places like bulldog and grasshoppers.

Debankt!

If my January tip last year is anything to go by, you should be fine most places. I had a party of up to 9 including me, and we fitted into most places; Amnesia, Rokerij singel, GH Lounge, Katsu, Green Place, BlueBird, 420, etc, even HGF could fit us in. Just buy'n'fly at the Grey Area sized places, or be aware if you might be accidentally being untranquil in the more local community type places.

Cheers guys, there are 6 in total and I just imagined the places like Paradox, Amnesia and Basjoe would be tiny as I haven't been to them before. If there's enough room for us then great! Suppose being January will make a difference too....Can't wait

We had a group of 8 in Paradox and at least 20 in Basjoe during the cup. Hell we packed Voyagers out almost everyday as well.

Peace

been with a group of 14-15 before with no real problems, but then a group of 4 during the cup and strugged to get seated in several places

all depends on time of year / time of day but generally should be fine

prix-dami has a few different floors with massive rooms and massive seating areas

different vibes on each floor i feel aswell so you can around move if you not comfortable,

they do snacks/munchies, and we always go back as a fave of mine, top of damrak too so used to be my 1st coffeeshop (but now voyagers has taken that spot)... :)

hth
just chilling .....
