Is 420 in Amsterdam really as good as I hear? I hope to see next April in person

Welcome!

I went on 420 only once, I had a fantastic time and wrote up a trip report you can find by searching the forum. As Balou said, there are lots of stories from other forum members which should give you a good idea of what to expect.

My 420 experience was slightly tainted by the Iceland volcano that grounded air travel a couple of years ago. The city was over inundated with stranded tourists who (for reasons I cannot comprehend) were deperately trying to get OUT of Amsterdam. I wasn't so lucky. I couldn't get any confirmation out of KLM all week and the day I was set to leave, they finally got everything back to normal and I had to go home. What a bummer.

Also on the 'con' side, it's a little early in the year for consistenly 'good' weather (my definition being over 65F and dry).

On the 'plus' side, there are sure to be MANY more ACD forum members in town, if that's what you are looking for.

Welcome to the forum.

What dates will you be in Amsterdam?
I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town and any Toke & Talks that are planned.

Here is my trip report from last 420.

Snake, when do you plan to escape NY, and how much time will you have? If you can swing a little over ten days you could do 4/20 and then the Queen's Day/Koninginnedag on 4/30.

Welcome, Snake. Congratulations on escaping New York  Except for the weather, Amsterdam would seem to be THE place to celebrate 4/20. Prepare for cold & wet, and you should be just fine.
