Firefox has an add-on service that sells cheap proxy servers "FoxyProxy". That's where I get my u.s. proxy. I'm pretty sure they sell british ones as well.

Hi Cisco, we were dissappointed about not getting iplayer progs. Something to do with program copyrights I was told by my techie son in law.

Also reading this http://www.tvproxy.co.uk/uk-tv-online.tpl it has something to do with bandwidth. You'll have to take some DVD's mon.

Either that Spidey or hope that Ohm and Tutti will be enjoying Sherlock as well and may be watching it on Sunday night

I can of course watch it on catch up when I return , but I like to watch when it's on

Hi Cisco

Sorry I didn't see this thread! Also sorry me and tutti pooped out on ya the other night and didn't make it over to Basjoes. There's just not enough hours in a day at the moment! Pity we didn't get to watch Sherlock with you. That would have been fun.

I use https://www.my-private-network.co.uk/. It allows you to create a VPN connection back to the UK or USA, so you can watch iPlayer, 4OD etc no probs :-) It works very well! It's £5 / month for a UK IP address or £9 / month for both a UK and USA IP address. I would have let you use my login while you were here if I'd known :(

I also have Freesat on a 45cm dish for British telly.. Tha info is not much use for the tourist though!

Look forward to seeing you next time mate
