IMO there is good, great and bad weed in the dam, you just got to use ya eyes and nose to pick out the best. unless your smoking really pure oils (spoon  ) all weed/hash have impurities, as we all know. "smoking is bad for you"

I dont worry to much about the health side of things, if i am high i am happy

Don’t get me wrong, I never said it was stronger than elsewhere!!
That would be ridiculous, a good seed is a good seed,in the US, Zimbabwe or in Holland… it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to pull a decent indoor grow of good weed (it is, as a matter of fact far more simple than many non-growers think)
Potency is a matter of genetics: you can put all the additives, all the latest big $$$ HPS bulbs, magic ferts (which are plain marketing BTW) and all the love and care you can in a weak bagseed, you’ll always end up with a weak bagseed weed.
One can’t deny that potency is nowadays the #1 concern of many “Cannabusiness entrepreneurs” (lmfao), and consumers, something that can be easily understood with the thriving MMJ scene.
On the other hand, the potency of import hashes hasn’t increased… (not talking about the Rif-grown afghani, paki, Mexi genes…)
Of course, diversity is why I keep going to Amsterdam too, and I am not quite after potency…that’s why I love so much a hash hunt up there…especially after good Asian hash which is very rare around here, unlike decent to good Morrocan.

The problem with the majority of Amsterdam weed is they chop it a week early, dont flush it properly and dont cure it properly, yes you can get some real good weed but nothings as good as something you'll grow for yourself.

TwoCanucks wrote:You're buying into the hype IMHO, but that doesn't make it bad. there's still no where else in the world where you can enjoy yourself like AMS. Cali is getting close, but as long as you require a card and can't sit and enjoy a spliff with a coffee -- it's not AMS.
Who will be the next Amsterdam??? Can't see Cali getting close as far as the coffee shop thing or even tolerance thing.
Unless one considers smoking in parking lots, alley ways, backstreets, stairwells.... as "getting close".
But the US MMJ pharmacies are making the availability almost comparable to AMS.
Hmm... I wonder about a price check, AMS vs. your local US MMJ pharmacy.
Can't post when I'm high, can't post when I'm not. This happens when I do.

Most of the stuff I get here in NorCal is extremely high quality from a dispensary, and it runs between $10-15 a gram. So i'd say the pricing is similar to Amsterdam...

except that it costs you 1.31 usd to buy 1 euro, meaning your pricing in Cali is much cheaper

That's about how my experience ran when I tried a bunch of hashes in Amsterdam. Definitely got a few that were ick and I really couldn't tell by looking at them.

I can't wait to move out there! Prices in amsterdam keep creeping up. These days bud will run you betwee 8-16 euro/gram, so you're actually doing better in terms of price.
Because life is too short to smoke bad bud.

Me too. When in Amsterdam I smoke around 5g a day and around 3,5g of this of hash and I have to say that I've never smoked something low quality there. Of course I choose among the higher priced hash but never smoked soapbars or similar

If one stays with reputable shops, the chance of being ripped-off is minimized. Go to lesser known or unknown shops, you take your chances, but most likely won't get ripped-off. Another reason why first timers and lightweights shouldn't come to Amsterdam/The Netherlands for gear, easy targets of opportunity.

But in the end, stupid is as stupid does.
Happy trails...

Not if they pay attention to what's going on using the ACD.
