Hi Everyone!

Post by Xenomorph »

Hi Guys and Gals!

I've been a "lurker" for a few YEARS now and have finally got off my lazy ass and decided it is time to speak out, and join the community.

I have read loads of the Trip Reports (Twitch, TwoCanucks, GeekyMonkey, Luvtick, Cisco's all come to mind off the top of my head. Have read and enjoyed loads more so sorry if I didn't mention yours :D) and also pretty much everything else on the forum.
I suppose it's time to start contributing myself, so look forward to trip reports and reviews in the future!

Myself, I'm an early 20's toker who has been toking for over 5 years. Have my fair share of equipment, a couple of Custom RooR (Icemaster 45cm) and a Volcano Digital Vapouriser. Along with a small collection of SteamRollers/Pipes ofcourse. My best mate, Benji, also has a sick Custom Icemaster Ziggy bong (bought from EDIT) which lives at mine and we spend most of our time getting high outta that. We are both from the UK.

We'll be in the Dam in just over a week (21st to 23rd) of Jan and are staying at Voyagers (First time, based on reviews on this awesome forum! Hope it's as good as it seems). Only our 4th trip to the Dam, but the tally is rising. I'm sad to say we have yet to visit EITHER Basjoe's or Voyager's Coffeeshops :!: on our previous trips and are extremely looking forward to popping into these shops ASAP when we arrive. We are looking forward to attending a T+T and ofc meeting Gapie at some point. :o

Got our smoke list started thanks to the "January Smoke List" Topic on the forum and was just wandering if anyone had any other recommendations from the last week or so? Also got a huge list of Coffeeshops / Restaurants to try and hit, but as this is only a short trip any advice on specific CS's that are great right now would be appreciated 8)

Here's hoping to seeing some of you in the Dam next weekend!

Stay High!
Xeno

PS: Also trying to learn dutch via Rosetta Stone. Recommend it, although it does make me feel like i'm a child again.

Welcome X. If you're an Alien fan you gotta check out Chest-Burster Isolater (xeno pheno) when you come to Amsterdam next time. Okay, there's not one, :( but it'd be cool if there was. Here's a quick comment from Total Film's 50 Awesome Movie Monsters...

The Movie: Alien (1979)

The Amazing: There's a lot to be said for a monster which appears absolutely purpose-built for carrying out its appointed task, and even more to be said if that task is doom-shafting any meat-based life-form idiotic enough to stumble into its (apparently infinite) hunting ground. (ed- now that's one hell of a phrase, and I will paraphrase it in the future when someone asks me what the effect of some very strong herb is, replacing hunting ground with smoke cloud)

Genius Detail: And it goes without saying that we're absolutely in love with the whole face-hugging, stomach-bursting reproduction technique - just delightful, in terms of inventive monster-lore. But a mouth within a mouth? Oh Ridley, you're spoiling us! And look, we're spoiling our underwear.

PS give BYKI a try...

gets into phrases faster than Rosetta.

cheers
