$90 a day?

Post by Izord1 »

I planned this trip before unexpected expenses.

I'll get a healthy paycheck on the 1st, and travel and 7 nights in the Dam already paid for, but somehow I have to make $650 last for that time.

Shit. Any tips on how to eat and smoke for $90 a day?

Iz.

Whats the exchange rate like to give your budget in Euros?. But I guess $90 is something like €70?. Hard but can be done if you eat on the move and snack as sit in meal can be expensive and easilly cost €20 a meal with a drink. So snack or on the move for food, if you like some beer hunt down the happy hour places should have a good €45-€50 left a day for smoking remembering you also often have to buy a drink in coffeeshops when you smoke there of cause.

Yeah, it's like 69 or 70 euro.

I'm going to have to do the supermarkets a lot. Stock up the kitchen.

Try to find some good deals on bud and hash.

Chill in the parks. Wish I could rent a bike.

This is the key right here!! If you have a kitchen, you can eat three meals a day for ~10-12e! It could easily cost more than that for 1 meal if you eat out. Another thing I would advise is to always carry your own bottle of water! Drinks in coffeeshops, and really anywhere around town, are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced!! If you conserve money in those two areas, you should have no problem smoking on ~40-50e a day, unless your consumption is just outta control.

I will also say, coffeeshop Anyday had an OD Silver when I was there that was incredible, and only 7e! Find a couple of good cheap weeds for quantity, and then you can get 1-2 high end grams a day.

Finally, I recommend trying to control yourself the first few days, and try to spend a little less... that way, your daily budget should be a little stronger for the last few days when you really want to go nuts!

But not the express AH they have less stuff and cost more..
good one is the one behind the Dam square // palace ;)
Also if your hotel is more south of town around the Heiniken just behind the museum you have a Dirk van den Broek supermarket ;)

Thanks for the tips.

I've settled in and hit the AH and found an Organic Market across the streeet with lots of produce.

It was open on Saturday, and they told me six days a week, so it'll be open again today.

Bought two big yellow shopping bags for 40 euro full of goodies, lots of meat and veggies, jam, Peanut butter, juice, water, some breads, yum.

Been watching a lot of movies, the owner of my apartment or someone anyway has left quite a good assortment. Got halfway through 'Layercake' last night.

Today I'm off to find the grey area, I used to frequent Amnesia, but have been hearing good things about Grey Area, just it always seem to be closed when I get around over there.

It's a big of a walk from here but I need one.
