You're right to hate using wikipedia, the crucial word missing is official

Boner do you seriously think grey areas facebook page is not run by the owners or employees of grey area?

The proof it is run by grey area owners or employers is that they link to it and advertise it from their official website.

You're getting confused between an unofficial fansite of a popstar, moviestar etc and that of an official fan page of a business on facebook.

Any way this is all detaching from the fact that the hype around amsterdam coffeeshops closing imminently is simply unfounded and based on no facts or law

A bit more on Nol fyi

Does not prove a thing. Regardless, I seriously doubt the guys who own GA are going to go on record having a website or FB of any type, considering the limits around advertising and coffeeshops.
Does not prove a thing? how much more evidence do you want that grey area for one at this point in time are not worried??

How can you dismiss the greyarea website as a spoof website not run by grey area, you're nuts man!
LOL, I was agreeing with you, that Boner was wrong.

JOOOOOSSSSSSEEEEEEE you are so deluded it IS happening and is already starting. Just because amsterdam is a well known place does not mean they are exempt from any law passed down .

You say nothing has been decided yet well you go to a cs in mastricht and score some bud !!! Yes were all aware that the mastricht is not amsterdam but neither are exempt from LAW or POLICY that the government dictates. This has been a long term idea plan of the current dutch government started back in 2010 by taking a case to EU court confirming they can NOT sell weed to other non dutch residents.

Well here you go an updat after the NOV post your basing your whole argument as to why it wont happen

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/1 ... 51800.html

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/12/15 ... -tourists/

Still clearly states that it will be happening in AMS a lot sooner than the 2015 Gray area say lol

So unless you have any other info to the contrary that is not speculation or idealistic thinking shut up and fuck off you nob

Hmm...not sure how using two US news sites, FOx and HP is really proof of anything.

I have no idea what is going to happen either way, btw.

No law has passed that tourists wont be able to by weed in amsterdam

Boner mentions the 1st jan 2013, but no law is coming in on that date. it will be discussed this year but nothing has been agreed.
Well the coffee shops in Amsterdam are certainly concerned about it even if you're not. When in Grey Area on 2nd January this year the guys there said the new law would be in effect in 2013.
Yes they seem so concerned...... I find the 2015 bit really interesting...
http://www.greyarea.nl/weed-pass.html

I don't think either their web site or their FB page is run by the staff in Grey Area. It's run by fans. Certainly the web site is - not so sure about the FB page.
As for 2015 I was hearing that all through 2011 until that visit over New Year when they're singing a completely different tune now.

joosy - think whatever you like, that's your choice. But please allow the rest of us to discuss the future closures and if there's anything we can do to stop this becoming law, rather than your option of waiting for it to become law when it'll be too late to do anything.

I personally hope you're right but I think you're being incredibly naive and deluded about it. I pray you prove me wrong.

Joosy: the point is that whether or not the FB comment was written by Grey Area DOESN'T PROVE ANYTHING!!!! Even if they aren't concerned about the ban, it doesn't mean that they shouldn't be. You have proved absolutely nothing by citing this facebook post. I'll repeat: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Really, its very, very simple: post actual substantiated facts in your posts, rather than what you've gained from facebook / american newspaper articles and people will take what you say seriously. Otherwise they won't. I'm sure you mean well (or I hope that you do anyway) but all you're doing is irritating people by rumor mongering :D

Why on earth or you linking two absolutely pointless articles! There's nothing there of substance. Its just typical mainstream media regurgitated crap. People like you shouldn't be able to use the internet, you clearly don't know what your doing. Stick to reading the daily mail and believing everything you read.

You're the only one trying to speculate, get your head around this...... THERE IS NO NEWS so stop trying to make news with your huffingtonfox bullshit and stick it up your arse.

I dont have anything to prove?!?! some people on here are saying amsterdam will not serve tourists from Jan 13 - that is speculation and bullshit - prove me wrong? You cant because there is nothing official on the matter as nothing has been decided/agreed hence there is only bullshit articles like huffingtonfox

I have not linked any american newspaper articles because that would be stupid & unhelpful.

Rumor mongering, hahahahaahahah that is funny, it really is - I am the one trying to dispel the rumor mongering!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stick to the facts and stop creating hysteria, people want new news articles everyday and that is the problem, the fact is there is no new news so huffintonfox & other mainstream press bullshit has to make them up which is gobbled up by gullible nits on the internet.

Don't be so damn rude - you're showing yourself to be an ignorant piece of nothing. Your attitude quite frankly stinks.

Believe WTF you like. I can't be bothered with an ignorant person like you. Deal with enough of them at work.

Now as you don't believe ANY of us why don't you just go away and let the rest of us discuss the issue at hand rather than ignorant members with their head in the sand.

Goodbye

“Reports that such a pass will be applied in Amsterdam are…completely without foundation. The Mayor and Council of Amsterdam are radically opposed to such a scheme and it will not be implemented in the city.”

"Drug Tourism is big business for Amsterdam, with one in four visitors smoking during their visit"

You used these two quotes as supposed "evidence" for your claims a few pages ago in this thread. One appears to be from the Sydney Morning Herald, the other from the Cannabis Times (could be wrong, just did a quick google search). The point is that you don't have any real evidence at all to support your arguments, as I stated many times This would be fine if you weren't making extremely bold statements such as "the weed pass will never happen in Amsterdam". But you are. Anyway, I'm sick of repeating myself. Best of luck with your "crusade". Hope it works out for you :D I'm done responding to your posts.
