I see the glass as half full. Nice to know that Den Haag and Enschede are both Green, at least in 2013.

Now the newly banned coffeeshops are discovering they are very quiet... I suspect many of them will have to close. :(
How does this help the recession?! Stupid govt!

As far as I know. Also ppl registered to a specific coffeeshop (residents) cannot get into another! That really sucks! And you can only register in one!
Really hope they change this!

Apparently the mayor of Eindhoven wishes to catch more street dealers!

So these 2 small time weed dealers have justified using 80 people to arrest and process them how?

Sometimes the resource management of those in charge has to be questioned!

Yup, and it's probably a reasonable amount of people as well...
I've made a few assumptions given the lack of information, so this is what I do if tasked to plan an operation against these suspects.
All five suspects would be under surveillance 24 hours prior to executing arrest warrants. Each surveillance team consists of four people (2x12hr shift) = min. 20 people
Their homes, grow shop, and other buildings would be under surveillance as well. +20 people
Add forensic accountants that would be tasked to investigate all financial aspects of all suspects. Approximately 10 people
...and finally executing the arrest warrants. At a minimum, three per suspect. If I knew there was a possibility that anyone one or all them could be armed (in the story 3 firearms were seized), the number would increase to a minimum of 10 per suspect. Why? Overwhelm the suspect and secure the objective.
Just a little spit balling...
...

If this story were to be reported differently in the media it might go something like this....

'20 million eu police resources squandered on minor criminal activity probe reveals.'

'Police Chief under pressure.'

Sorry if this has already been asked( I have tried to search it) but what are the laws about buying weed in a tourist friendly area and smoking it in a non tourist area hotel..its just that we stay in a hotel where we can smoke but now its in a red area yet we buy all our weed in Amsterdam. Is it just the buying of it that's not allowed or is it the smoking as well :? ? Thanks for any help or info
