Bat Dung

Post by templeball »

Does anyone know from first hand experience if bat dung makes a difference at all (would it add something to output or any other welcome pluspoint?) if used alongside organic soil Biobizz All Mix? And when is it best to add?

Guano is apparently awesome to add when flowering.

Yeah it's good shit ;) I used to use Plagron Batmix that had it mixed it, can be used during veg but it can burn the plants a bit so best used in flowering.

Thanks boner Did it boost yield and/or strength, I've got a friend who swears it makes his grow taller but I'm more interested I'm maximising the strength

When I grew in organic soil it was all about the flavour and the bat shit added this, I think harvesting via trichome colour is the best way of getting the most strength.

thanks :D I understand now, I was getting mixed messages about what the benefit was and ive seen it on a shelf recently too looking quite tempting (as far as bat shit can tempt anybody that is)

I always knew from kid age that you can get a nasty disease from a fungus that grows amidst bat shit in caves, i looked it up and even clearing up bat shit from a loft can cause the loss of an eye and/or lung! For fucks sake, ive just been imagining water getting in my container and losing a precious lung

theres a (smelly) biobizz fish fertliser too from the same place, dunno if thats similarly effective

oh btw precious seeds are now selling supposedly a Casey Jones seed back crossed from the cannabliss cut to get a CS male which is better than their first seed batches which I think i recall used an afghan male to pollinate the cannabliss cutting, but dont know if true anyhow?

Yes it sounds better, just bought myself some Grateful Casey seeds from Connoisseur Seeds, they stressed a Casey jones to make her an hermie and pollinate another CJ. I know their others Casey cross are great so I have good hopes for this strain

Ditch the granules or soil based as its slow release (Pointless on short day, short cycle plants) so you will see little difference, go for the liquid in wk1 and wk3 of bloom otherwise it could get beefy. Its cheap and you will notice the difference in flavour and resin production.

I have some landrace Lebanese and others on the way which dont like liquid feed so I was looking at forms of Guano. Still undecided as to which route to take..

Kermit that Guanokalong looks like it has potential. Do you have any more info to share on it?

My understanding is the Guana works better as a taste improver for the "fruity" strains  advice given by a very reputable and wise grower

i've been using vintage bat guano during flowering (organic grow) and it has made a big difference....4 plants ,2 with 2 without ....2 with were bigger better and better flavour...2 without smaller nugs and not nearly so flavourful........strain was K-Train from greenhouse......batshit comes from "feed the soil" brand in 1 kg container and is less than a tenner (gb) which will last ages.....even get a free spoon/measure inside(just dont stir yer tea/coffee with it)

Brew your own teas instead of the chems also sea bird guano is very good too.
