I will be landing in the Dam in 8 days!!! :D :D 8)

It really cannot come soon enough. I just hope time slows down considerably while I am there. Been checking all the recent posts about what is good and what is shite about. And now I have got along list of good stuff and a few new places to check out. So much to smoke so little time! Definitely heading out to De Pijp to check out the shops down that way. Does Katsu have a bunch of Verdampers to use like Anyday? Also which other shops have a bunch of them. I want to have and extended Verdamper session once I have acquired a decent stash.

I am on the hunt for some really sticky ass maroc also. Got a few on the list (Zooltjes, 2 tops from GP, Reserva X) any other recommendations? Or some of the best isolator value wise. Not keen on the 40-60+ range. It is never full melt stuff from what I can tell yet it commands the price of it. If there is some full melt epic stuff about where would I find it? Also might check the BHO at 1eHulp but that is a concentrate and I have some of that already. I am looking for stuff that I can't normally get or make.

Also for my birthday feast I plan on hitting up either Cafe Loetjes or de Klos for a steak. Any other restaurants recommended for a good feast? Particularly any Dutch cuisine.

For anyone there at the moment are the canals still frozen? I am hoping they are still iced up when I get there. Will be a totally different scene to the 30 Degree heat we had in summer while there. I wanna see it! I love the way the Dutch use the canals for recreation at any opportunity. It was amazing to see the huge increase boat activity on the sunny days. Families having fun in the sun. It was a different vibe to the city. The frozen canals is something I want to see now as it is another example of them making the most out of their beautiful city.

Can't wait to be there and here the bells of the city!

My coworker in Amsterdam reports the canals are starting to melt...no surprise as the temps have gone up about 10 degrees in the last week...

Sounds like we'll be in town at the same time. Have a good time!

Hey Lamont.

That is a shame to hear they are melting! I have been keeping an eye on the weather. Looks like warm and rain for a few days. Should be fine when we are there though. Hope some still remains.

You have a good one too! What are you most keen to try if I might ask? You seem to have been a few times and know the score.

I tried all those Moroccans you listed last week and you will be happy to hear they were very nice :D Reserva X was by far the softest, even in sub zero temps it was still like blue tak, closly followed by Greenplace's Twizzla & Maxi Mellow. The Zooltjes has the best taste (lovely sweet flowers) and I would recommend the Gredela from De Graal E15/g for a really nice Maroc. I will be posting my report with pics soon.
I can highly recommend De Klos (Tenderloin) and Café Loetje for their steaks. Get to both early, especially on weekends as they get very busy quickly. As for Dutch cuisine I saw Hap-Hmm restaurant (http://www.hap-hmm.nl ) in Vinyls trip report (https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewt ... 10&t=19584) and it looks yummy.
Have a great trip and I hope the hash's you want are in stock!

Hey,

Thanks for the reply. Glad to hear those hashes are what I am looking for. It will save time hunting too hard for them. I will check out those restaurants also. I will probably hit de Klos on Sunday as it is my birthday. Good to know to get there early. I should be able to work up a hunger by then! I am going to check out the new Maroc at Utopia now too. I will let ya know how it is.
