Set to arrive in the Dam on 25th of May and am interested
in trying Salvia. Is it ok to smoke it in coffeeshops or is it
frowned upon and if so where can I try it in safety?

I will have a sitter to keep an eye on me. Have done
LSD in my late teens, now in my 40's

Salvia is alright to use. It's not recreational though. People use it like that but they are fully missing the point of this herb. Salvia is being researched for it's anti drug abilities, it can apparently realign misfiring synapses within your brain(full on hey) but should be used as a self guidance tool.

Shamans originally used Salvia. The deal was to ask yourself an unanswerable question. One that you think no one can answer for you. You then meditate or place yourself in a quiet place, that your comfortable with. Preferable you should be alone , but if someone is near by, make sure it's someone you trust. Then smoke. Smoke it through a water pipe with a jet lighter. You shouldn't smoke with weed as it dulls the effects. You have to take at least 2 consecutive cones in one breath. That means have one don't breathe out then have another. Then you can breathe out. if it doesn't do anything do it again. I assure you that stuff in Amsterdam that is 40 times will scrunch your face up like a little ball in the middle of your nose, or it will feel like that. You may have audio trips and out of body experience. Immense laughing and plain old tripping balls! Remember if you freak on it, I stress it only lasts for around 5 mins even on the most potent stuff so just ride it out it you have a bad trip and remember only five minutes, you won't die. Unless you have heart issues and stress.

Oncce all this is done the feelings subside quickly and within 30 mins you should feel back to normal. In the next few days your answerable question will we answered.

That video you posted Slo was fucken hilarious. Damn near spat my coffee all over my computer. If you are going to do salvia then do it at home with a sitter if you haven't had it before. But tbh there are way better, safer and more gentle on the mind psychedelics out there than salvia. Its only up side is short duration.

Had a fella try punt me some 40x stuff the other day when I was looking at glass pipes at a market. Trying to tell me its like weed and I will get nice and stoned. I informed him that I am clued up on that shit and he shouldn't punt it as a nice recreational smoke. It can be sheer hell if you aren't ready for it or in a bad place. Shits me they can push stuff like that but not safe stuff like a nice nug or chunk of hash. He had all manner of legal pills and potions and smoke mix crap. Just RC rubbish emulating the stuff we all want.

End of the day just be careful with salvia as it is not for everyone. Set and setting as with all psychedelics is crucial. And start small.

Hi guys and thanks for the responses.

My intent was to try it purely for the experience and
was in no way intending to "fuck around with it for fun".

I too have seen the various videos showing the use
of salvia and am fully aware of it's effects which obviously
vary wildly depending on various factors.

As stated in my op, I have a very close friend who I trust
implicity and who would be my sitter, but have come to
the conclusion that due to not having a appropriate location
in which to try it I will be giving it a miss.

I would also like to add that I value everyone's opinion
wether positive or negative.

As salvia is legal (i don't know about Ireland though) you'd better buy some in the dam and bring it back to your home

Buy some x5 strength and have it in a spliff with ganja and make sure you really hold in your tokes for as long as possible. the effects are great and very much like a mild mushroom trip crossed with being really happy, high and uncontrollable laughing. The stonger stuff x 10,x20, x40, is some serious stuff that can lead to out of body experiences but the weaker extract in a spliff is ace fun.
