My Triumphant Return: 2012

I have been exploring and documenting Amsterdam since my first visit back in 1998. I enjoyed my first visit so much that I made the trip again the following year. I wound up visiting Amsterdam every year up to 2009. Then in 2010 and 2011 I was unable to make the trip because of some family issues. Now, 3 years later I am making my Triumphant Return when I touch down on 30 March. After making some short trips to Almere, Nijmegen and Basel, Switzerland I will return to Amsterdam on 8 April until I leave on 13 April. My friends and I will be enjoying our stay at the Greenhouse Effect Hotel and we really enjoy the back of the bar there. Will anyone be in town during this time?

Voyagers at noon on 31 March sounds possible, however, I'm afraid I'll show up with luggage in tow.

No man... we can still hook up. I won't check into the Greenhouse Effect Hotel until the 9th, but I'll be in Almere on the 7th and the 8th, I was thinking that you might want to take a train out to Almere-stad and we could meet at the coffeeshop thee, it's on a boat in a canal behind the police station. It's only 30 minutes from Cetraal Station to Alemere Centrum by train. If you've never gotten out of Amsterdam, this is a great opportunity.

ha ha, looks nice. what's the feedback on that place?? good gear?? looks a cool place to chill for an afternoon.

I'll check with my travelling comrade, not guaranteeing anythign but we could be up for this.

That's cool. I'd be there with my traveling companion as well but only if you want to meet. We will be staying in Almere Haven and we will have to take the bus to Almere-stad. The boat is cool and the gear I have gotten there has been top notch, better prices than in Amsterdam too. The place is easy to find, just look for or ask someone where the Aldi is, then walk to the far corner of that building and the boat is in the canal right across a big paking lot. It doesn't open until after 4pm.
