Re: Lamont's Live Report 2: Feb 26-Mar 3, 2012
Ok, here we go!
Day 5 – Thursday
This report will be light on pictures, as I don’t have a lot for this day….to make up for it I’ll try to insert a few from my previous visits. Also I have no “pre-work” notes for this day but I’m sure I smoked something upon waking up and before heading off to work. Let’s just assume it was some kick ass sativa that I had picked up previously…probably some of the PSG that I had picked up the night before at Voyagers.
I know I’ve said this before, but I really enjoy the “Amsterdam style commute”: walk to the train station, metro, and then walk some more. It’s a guaranteed 2km of walking which is always great. Plus not dealing with a car for a week has been just fabulous.

After work it was back to the hotel to drop my things and pick up my stash of goodies for a planned TnT at Nes. Grabbed some free food from the hotel executive lounge before heading out the door and towards the direction of Dam square. Destination: ‘t Nes Café. I arrived just shortly after 5pm and quickly spotted Gapie at the bar. To my pleasant surprise Bleak was there as well and I greeted them both warmly. Gapie didn’t remember me at first so I had to remind him of our previous meeting (it was understandable that he didn’t remember me given just how many Verdamper bowls we had put down that night – see my previous trip report for details
) I was then introduced to Hazy Neville who was a likeable chap and had been with the boys at Anyday earlier that evening.
We were originally sat at the bar but very quickly a table opened up in the back and Gapie snagged it. He also produced (seemingly out of thin air) a very fine piece of glass for us to smoke from. I can’t remember the brand of bong but it had a very nice perc in the bottom and produced prodigious tubes of smoke that did a really good job of messing us up royally.
I pulled out my pile o’ bags from all my purchases of the week and began showing my prizes to the guys. What followed was another completely epic smoking session and I will list here all the different bowls we smoked:
Bowl 1: We started our smoke out strong with a nice bowl of Citronella topped with some of the Grand Cru hash from Utopia. The flavor of this combo was remarkable and it was a great way to get us started.
Bowl 2: I packed a bowl of the Kosher Kush Sieve Hash because it was such an amazing smelling hash and I wanted everyone to get a taste of it “pure”. Yummy! (or as Gapie would say: “Yammy”
)
Bowl 3: Unidentifed “Cheese” (supplied by Bleak) topped with some of the “BHO” from 1e Hulp. Prepare for liftoff!!!
Around this time DC showed up and sat down with us, introduced himself to me. He was a really great guy and was extremely generous with his personal stash of high quality weed.
Bowl 4: Pineapple Sour Grapefruit
Before I continue my recounting of bowls smoked, a brief aside on the bong we were using. This thing was a killer and managed to continuously send Gapie, Bleak and occasionally me into fits of coughing. The thing was so damn smooth you would not realize what a huge hit you were pulling until it was too late.
For you regular bong smokers, you may be familiar with something which I dub the “cold smoke effect”….it’s that leftover smoke in the chamber you get when you pull a hit that is too big to take. As it cools it seems to get denser and almost darker as it sits in the bong. I’ve learned from hard experience that this leftover smoke is extremely harsh and best avoided if you don’t want to cough your brains out through your nose.
Well, it seems that Gapie has never heard of or experienced this “cold smoke effect” because it was around this time that I took a huge rip off the bong and ended up leaving the chamber full of smoke. As Gapie reached for the bong, I made the comment “I wouldn’t smoke that if I were you!”. Gapie looked at me almost quizzically and I think perhaps he mistook my warning for a challenge because he grabbed the bong, snapped the tube, and immediately dissolved into a thunderous coughing fit, almost falling off his chair….
Bowl 5: 420 Kush
Once again I was really impressed with this batch of 420 Kush, I wish I had gotten back over to DeKuil to get more, it was a really nice smoke.
It was around this time that Hazy Neville got smart and called it a night. I think he could see that Bleak, Gapie and I were up for many more bowls and wanted no part of such silliness. It was great to meet you Hazy Neville and thanks for coming out for the TnT!
Bowl 6: Casey Jones
Bowl 7: Chocolope (supplied by DC)
This was some fantastic tasting Chocolope and we really enjoyed it. Really nice flavor through the bong and quite enjoyable.
Bowl 8: Reserva X Hash from Anyday
At this point once again Gapie disregarded my warning of a “cold” leftover tube: “Don’t smoke that!” . He disregarded my warning and it was quickly followed up by a huge coughing attack. Gapie is a fantastic joint roller but I think he needs a wee bit more bong practice!
We were all getting slammed by this Reserva X hash….it just kept burning and burning and the “killer” bong just kept feeding us way to much smoke to handle.
Bowl 9: NL “Liver” supplied by DC
I’m still not sure if I got the name of this strain right (was a bit hard to hear in Nes), but this was a really great smelling and tasting weed. Really enjoyed it and was glad that DC was willing to share it. It packed a powerful punch as well…to quote Bleak after smoking this bowl “Fuuuckk!”

Bowl 10: Amnesia Extreme from Anyday (supplied by Bleak)
At this point I think I had reached full saturation point of THC in my system and was ready to stop. We hung out and chatted for a while, DC was sharing some excellent knowledge about the “back door” cannabis scene in Amsterdam and I was enjoying learning about it. You were a great host DC and it was great to get to know you! I’ll definitely be back at Nes on my next visit.
Ready to call it a night I said my farewells to DC, Bleak and Gapie. Thanks for coming out again guys and it was an epic smoking session once again. Next time I’m in town we will definitely do it again!
After leaving Nes, the munchies were kicking in strong, so I stopped at Burger Bar for a burger and frites before heading back to the hotel. Yummy! After smoking so many bowls at Nes I was completely stoned out of my gourd so I called it a night shortly after that. And until the next installment, I bid you good night as well…

Good to me you too Lamont.... I'm surprised i lasted as long as i did.... i was already messed up from the session in Anydays beforehand ... Hope we can do it again sometime
Re: Lamont's Live Report 2: Feb 26-Mar 3, 2012
Thanks Hazy for the kind words. We had a great session that night. This reminds me I need to finish up this trip report, only one day left to report on but I haven't had the energy or time to finish it. I think my post Amsterdam depression had a delayed effect this time around.
Will try to post it up this week.
