Here I am again! Since I want to make this first trip to the Paradise a perfect trip I am boring you guys with some stupid questions but maybe they can even help our other colleagues of Forum :)

At this time I would like to talk about MUSIC. Music ambient is very important - I work with that here in Brazil - so I really want to join some CS with a good music. I will put some genres bellow and would LOVE to get some feedback from you guys about what CS do you recommend that can be that kind of music, ok?

01-) Electronic Music (it doesn't need to be Trance, etc, it can be something slower like Progressive, or even classic House stuff) -
02-) Lounge Music (more chilled music, like Buddha Bar, etc) -
03-) Your Suggestion - Please tell us what's the Music and respective CS that you enjoy the Music ! ;)

Since there's already a Jazzy CS Music opened Thread, I will not re-open it here - and let's keep following the tips of our mates over there :)

Thank you once more dudes.

01) im not sure if this fits what you are looking for, but coffeeshop 36 plays a lot of up tempo stuff. probably not the best shop to buy weed from, just smoke the stuff you buy from the other shops you visit

2) rokerij, perhaps? the leidseplein shop is the best, always some nice weed on the menu

3) everything thats played in 420 is pretty much great, but its a rock/classic rock kind of place, so may not be your thing

My advice....don't go to a cs expecting to hear a particular type of music. It depends on the people working at the time.

Great house in Amsterdam but at the clubs.

Hummm, I see... But I already got some nice tips, let´s see... I think that´s a point that CS owners should care about then: focus their style (generally, not only musical), creating a BRAND connection with all the points in the CS.

Still searching for more opinions about good music in CS ;)

As Marco pointed out, you may get different music from day to day depending on who is working. Have a read through these threads for other suggestions.

For what it's worth, I have always gotten better service and therefor better bud at Rokerij III. Both times I stopped at 4 they were out of stock on a bunch of things and the service was indifferent. Plus, the weed I ended up with was so badly under-flushed I didn't smoke it.

I know both locations stock the same weed, and so I can only think that the difference is that the budtenders at III always steered me towards the better stuff on the menu. YMMV.

I understand, but most shops don't think about branding. My point is that if you run around looking for particular music, you will probably just stress yourself out and won't find what you are looking for.

Gey guys, thank´s a lot for all these infos. ;)

Balou, I´ve checked your links. Thank´s man.

geekymonkey, thank´s a lot for the info abour Rokerij. I will just ask for a good Haze, hope I will get a good one... I am intending to go to IV because I will make a half-day tour in that region, so it´s already planned to be the beginning of the tour - to open my mind you know! :)

Marco, once more, many thank´s for caring man. In fact I will not be stressed (at all! hehe) and not going through the music specificly, I just wanted to know if it was something like ''rokerij is rock, barneys is lounge, basjoe is reggae'' and then you guys would easily tell me which CS should I go for those rythms. Since it´s not like that, I will just follow the advices our colleagues here in the forum said about the latest CS reviews and buy the good stuff of the moment :)

Hey man, dunno whether this'll help but when i stayed in the White Tulip Hostel just along the waermostraat (excuse spelling) near Stones cafe and Baba's, the dude at reception showed me a map highlighting which cafes played specific music and he informed us on which ones to go to for like hip hop, house and drum and bass. May be worth dropping in to see this guy?

That would be perfect! And if you still keep that map, it would be wonderful for our Forum if you could scan and upload it here :)

cheers!

Unfortunately he didnt give me the map, he just had it on him to help out the tourists stayin in the hostel :/ So in future if anyone stays there, ask about the cafes, or even if youre visting for a drink and something to eat as it is a bar aswell, have a chat to the bloke :)
