DAY 5 25/02/2012

This is our last full day and I want to fully enjoy it as previous days, without thinking that my trip is coming to the end. Best way to do it is lighting up a big joint in nieuwmarkt waiting for the opening of the green place.
This morning is the first time I see the sun in this trip so I buy a peach looza and smoke my morning joint of twizzla outside.
It is around 9.45 am we decide to explore the Jordan today and my choice as first stop is Anyday: I have well fixed in my mind what I want to buy but when I go inside I begin to scan the menu looking for some nice hash. I ask the tender to see Gold 2 which is on the menu for 9.5E/g but the tender tell me they are out so I ask him to see the Reserva x which I remeber being a 5star hash from previous trip and when I see and smell it my memory is confirmed.We bought 2g for 29E and decide to sit outside as the sun is beginnig to enlight the bench and the table outside anyday. What can I say about the hash? Simply the best I tried in this trip, soft and sticky, with a pungent smell, really lovely hash and nice shop. We spent there around 1 hour.
After that we leave direction Amnesia. The shop is quite packed but as we get in a group of 4 people is going out so we took the seats and then walk to the counter to have a look at the menu.
I cannot see much changes in the hash menu, I usually do not look at their weed menu but in the past they had some quality hash.
I ask the red hair tender to see caramello, shiraz and azilla, all this hash have been among my favourites in the past but this time they look all very similar, old and dark, no smell, and all for 16e/g.
At that point my eye fell on Shandrella, new hash on the menu for 13e/g. The tender keep it out of the box; it looks much better then the others so I ask him to have half a g and he quickly replies: “Cannot do half g man, I give you 1g”. I replied him that I knew he could do half g 'cause I had it from amnesia many times but as the hash was looking nice I could also buy 1g, and so I do. The hash was nice, nothing to die for so it was for sure overpriced but smoked nice and gave me the right stone; I found it very similar to the super babylon from Babylon Coffeeshop, but that was only 8e/g! More info about babylon on the report of day 6.
Amnesia is a really nice spot to chill and the herengracht is my favourite canal in the 'dam: only thing is the drink are bit overpreiced.
Our next stop was grey area but it was 11.30 am so too early nd we decide to have one more smoke at paradox: I have some Finger Hash left and I planned to hit other shops today so I didn't buy anything, only chocolate chips cookie, my mate bought 0.8g of Outdoor Purple for 5E but I caan't give a rate on it as I think it was 1st time in the 'dam smoking outdoor weed and here I do not buy outdoor as it's always full of seeds.
So we smoke 1 joint each and we go out direction Grey Area that I recognize from the line stnding outside.
We wait around 10 minutes to arrive in front of the budtender. I had a look at the menu while waiting my turn to be served so I immediately ask the tender to show me grey berry, a favourite of mine in the past and also a cheap one, and the grey haze as I was disappointed by it last time and wanted to give it one more chance. They were both smelling nice so I bought 0.55g for 5E of grey berry at 9.5E/g and 0.5g of grey haze for 5.5E at 11E/g. My mate bought 0.5 g of NYCD for 5.5E.
We go out as the shop was obviously packed and decide to go to La Place to eat something. I recommend this place to you all as it's cheap, clean and you can find really any kind of food you want, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, couscous, quiches, meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, croissants, cakes. It's a sort of self service but there are also lot of tables to sit.
When our stomaches are well filled we decide to try Utopia Coffeeshop that was quite near. We go straight to the counter and look at the menu. As I was looking for a sativa the tender pointed me out the SLHaze but I already smoked Voyagers version and was attracted by the Citronella so opted for a gram of that for 13E while my mate bought 1g of caramella hash for 10E and 0.25g of Ice-o-lator for 5E; we took a sit and start rolling our joints. The caramella is nice standard earthy maroccan hash, worth the money in my opinion. Citronella was nice sativa, not too lemony taste but gave me the right sativa effect, maybe it was little bit too dried. Don't rember much about ice-o-lator. Then I presented myself to Nel and had a nice chat with him, he is really a nice guy and gave me and my friend free coffee plus he really know the city and coffeeshop scene very well. We then decide to go back to Nieuwmarkt and hit the Green Place. I buy 1g of Twizzla and my mate 1g of Maximellow and sit to smoke the stash and we have a chat with one of the maroccan owners that gave me to try some OG Kush. Never smoked it before and was really impressed. It had really a deep taste and wooww, it got me stoned after 3 puffs so I bought also 1 g of that.
The rest of the day is quite hazy in my memory as I didn't take much notes about it, only about what we bought. I'm sure I also met Gapie that day as we met evetyday maybe in t'Nes.
We went to Dampkring in Handboogstraat were I do a repeat purchase of Sensabile Hash (0.63 for 10E) which is really amazing, afghan strains grown in marocco. I aslo bought 0.66 of Power Plant for 5E which was strong but not soo tasty and 1g of Grape for 11E which had really fruity smelled transfered into taste. My mate there bought 0.3 of Sensabile and 0.5g of Green Crack for 5E.

I dont like reading trip reports when my trips so far away but this sort of gripped me then i saw this pic and know where i want to go next trip, look a Fish and Chip shop, hell man a chippy with fish, yeah baby.

DAY 6 Last day

It's sad when you know you have lo leave amsterdam but at least you are 'till in the 'dam. Our flight is at 6.25 pm so we have about 8 hour to spend in the city and to smoke all the shit.
As I got up I rolled a big one of the Citronella from the day before, close the luggage, check out and we go next door to green place for our morning smoke.
We order teas and we also share 1g of Twizzla (13E). We sat to smoke when I remember that the day before I bought 1g of OG Kush from GreenPlace which was oustanding so I ask to the budtender that was the same of the day before if the still have the same batch and as he gave me a positive nod I bought also 1g of that for 14E.
We smoke some and then decide to try Babylon for some hash ass I was interested in trying some tighidin.
As we enter we kindly ask the tender to have a look to the tighidin and he replies that was good and he was smoking it so we didn't need to see so we asked one more time to see it so he pulled out the bag but we were not impressed by it, looked bit hard and dark; so we ask to see something else, more creamy. He then pulled out with a big smile the super babylon which immediately impressed me and my friend so we decide to share 1g of that at 8e/g, shame we discovered it on our last day.
It was fucking soft and sticky, reminded me the shandrella from amnesia but 5 euro cheaper.
If I remeber well the do not have the coffee machine so opted for a peach looza and chill there smoking 2 big joints of it on thier comfty seats; the place looked very clean too.
We then decide to go in direction of Voyagers where we also have to meet Stan in the afternoon for some final smokes.
We both opted for the best weed of the trip: 20e for 1.3g of Pink Sour Grapefruit. This weed relly tranferts the smell into taste, really grapefruit taste! It's cured to perfection and never makes you tired of smoking it.
Lunch time is close so we decide to live Voyagers as the stomach was calling.
As always in this trip we decide to go to La Place to have the last meal in the 'dam, time is really running.
We ate faster we could do and we go to Dampkring where my mate buy 0.6g of love bomb for 10E, expensive indian hash but honestly I do not remeber much of it; I opted for 5euro (0.38g) of c5 pioneer which was really fruity weed, the smell remained in my nose for some 5 seconds after the tender put in under my nose: burnt perfectly and had strong mental effects.
We smoke some more and then we go back to Nieuwmarkt to collect our bags.
After that we follow the Geraldeskade and arrive in Voyagers where Stan was waiting for us: I sent him an sms 'cause we were some minutes late. We buy our last gram, we opted for Amnesia.
Shame we had to leave, only weed I didn't smoke this time in Voyagers was the blue cheese, not a fan of the strain but I never tried their version.
We consume the ganja and roll 2 spliffs for the airport, Twizzla for me as always before leaving; we say goodbye to Gapie and to Amsterdam as well and the clock says 4:20.
Take the train to schiphol and smoke our final j. See you next time amsterdam, I'll be back
