Advices about hash

@ Colino thanks for the advices. The Sensible hash from Dampkring was great. A dark
creamy hash... very clean and the taste was nice, too.
Interesting that the Dampkring#1 have different hash on the menu than the Tweede
Kammer and the Dampkring#2 shop. The other Dampkring shops have no Sensible
Rifman hash on their menu... they have Rifman Noor and Malika on the menu which
is not on the menu from Dampkring#1

the reason is that the dampkring chain is separeted now,

I am a hash novice..I have really only smoked hash in Amsterdam...so I have a few questions.....what is the best thing to smoke hash out of..?( vaperizer,bong,pipe,ect...) what r the best kinds of hashes as far as taste and THC level? Can u smoke hash out of shitty little hand pipes with screens? Thanks for any advice anyone can give me.....

Sorta depends on the hash, and also your preference on how to smoke. Very oily hash can be diffucult to smoke in a pipe/bong, but putting a bit of weed in the bowl and then the hash ontop of that works well.
I mostly use hash in spliffs, either with tobacco or weed.

The best thing/way to smoke hash is what you think is best.
With that being said, there are many methods, some of which are:
- pure, a pipe/bong and bowl with a screen
- mixed with weed/tobacco, a pipe/bong and bowl with a screen
- mixed with weed/tobacco, in a joint
- mixed with weed/etc..., vaporizer; this could get messy, maybe even wasteful, dunno...
- pure, vaporizer, see above, dunno...

I tried the trans him back in May 2012 from kadinskys. It was okay but not a patch compared to the temple ball from six on utrechtsestraat. It's my first purchase every visit. Goes down a treat. Smooth and a meditative high. Mmmmm. Looking forward to my next trip in November /December.

the turkish delight hash from barneys had such a nice taste last week. But 19€/g is
really overpriced... 10-14€ would be ok. Normally I don´t go to Barneys anymore
but sometimes I went in and look on the menu for some unique stuff (if money is not the problem ).
Next I had to try the turkish from paradox it´s interesting to see if it is the same stuff (and also much cheaper)...

Personally I prefer to smoke hash through a bong (with tabak mixed)... black hash like
good nepal and so on I prefer to smoke in a joint...
Never smoked hash through a Vaporizer...

I'm in the Dam in November and would like to try a few hashes. Twichaldinho said that you should always check before buying. I agree. But, how do you tell a good hash from a bad one I've never really smoked hash before, only bud.

Good is quite subjective and depends on what you’re after: taste,?potency? both?…

I’d go fr nederhash (made frm indoor NL grown buds) fr potency.Most will get you high as a kite.Problem is that they often lack taste IMHO.And they are usually expensive.

Fr taste (my main concern!), definitely import hashes, main origins are Morroco and a bit of India/Nepal.

A clean hash (be it nederhash or import) should burn cleanly and evenly (no sparks!!) and leave no black ashes residues when combusted.But that you’ll say, you only know when you’ve already purchased it!

Read the latest travelogues and CS reviews to know what’s good atm.Batches change constantly.Quality is reflected in the price, and I wouldn’t buy anything below the 10 EUR/grm mark city center price (though there are exceptions!).Freshness is a key factor also.Storage is important too, as pressed hash will loose/change its taste much quicker than a lightly pressed one.

A GOOD hash should need no lighter nor high heat source to be crumbled into pieces.Palm heating is sufficient.
An EXCELLENT hash is when you are barely able to twist a spliff after crumbling it (or trying to !), leaves your fingers gooey and sticky.


Recomendations from my last trip city center shops (mid october):

-Asian hash: Nepal from Utopia @ 10 EUR pr grm.Sweet sugary licorice/leather smell.Smooth rich spicy smoke.Pleasant dreamy high.Very nice example at a fair price!

-Morrocan: Jbel Tidighine (that’s the name of the highest mountain in the Rif producing area in Morocco BTW...damn silly names!!) from Betty Boop 11 EUR/grm (had 5 fr 50EUR).This shop always stocks good fresh hash at decent prices.Fresh blonde putty, turns darker and sticky with a little kneading.Notes of honey, fresh ginger root and pine resin.Smooth on the throat.The high was surprisingly strong and creeping, instant hitter, gets you clearly high fr the first 20 mins and then creeps up on you and gets you nicely baked fr an hour...

These were good, reasonably priced hashes, but I couldn’t find an excellent one (didn’t searched that much though, went by lastest ACD recommendations and personal previous experiences lol)

There are tons of others good shops…Amsterdam is the right place fr a happy hash hunt if you know what and where to look!!

Hash varies a lot batch to batch, and it's sometimes hard to tell quality from sight without a scope (smell is a little better). Your best bet is go to shops that have good hash reliably, and talk to the budtender. I'd recommend Club Media, 1e Hulp, and DeGraal off the top of my head.
