hey folks. Does anyone know how I can identify or tell which version of the Extreme Q I received? i've seen a bunch of different names/descriptions like "4.0," the "2008 version," "2011 4.0 version," etc. is there any way to tell for sure? (other than calling airizer's toll-free number that just dumps you into voicemail lol.
thanks in advance!
Airizer Extreme Q version Identification?
Re: Airizer Extreme Q version Identification?
I think the remote control is new ? Extreme Q version , I believe earlier models only came with either whip or balloon , not both like the Q , also the fan is quieter on the new one

Re: Airizer Extreme Q version Identification?
thanks for the reply Cisco. How can I tell what the "new" remote looks like? I've never owned one, so I'm just trying to make sure I didn't get hosed (pardon the cheesy pun). Or, do you just mean that only the new version *has* a remote control? thanks again!
Re: Airizer Extreme Q version Identification?
Ha ha yeah I think it's just the newer version thats got it ? Not 100% sure on that ? What about the instruction booklet doesn't that tell you the model ? Do you have whip and bags ?
Or a link to where you bought it ?

yep. whip, bags and remote. i ordered it from Amazon. i'm pretty sure it's the 4.0, but the way the listing is worded makes me want to be sure. here's the link. thanks again man.

holy schnikes. what a difference! i wish i had more hands....so i could give the extreme q 4 thumbs up! =)
Re: Airizer Extreme Q version Identification?
There is a Wiki somewhere that explains all the differences... From a consumers point of view, all the arizer extremes work the same, but internally the parts are slightly different and the way they display the temps is different (the placement of the temp sender was moved so different versions have different recommended temp settings, but the actual temp of the hot air where it makes contact with the herb is the same.) The main issue that causes confusion is I set mine at around 265 degrees, as I have an older model... I think the current recommendation is about 100 degrees cooler with the temperature sender in the new location?
