Looking for good coffeeshop

We are going to Amsterdam next week for the first time.
I already looked around at this site, it's really helpful, but I still don't know to choose.

We would prefer a confortable place, where you can sit, and relax with reggae music.

Can you help me?

Hello and welcome!

Actually a good question. Not necessarily a reggae joint but a place that plays reggae music. Sadly in most Amsterdam Coffeeshops the music tends to be whatever kind of dance music en vogue that month/week/year.

Also are there any decent Reggae themed or run coffeeshops in town?

You'd think there would be a good quality tourist type place with Reggae theme/colors/music/weed/culture but if there is I have not heard about it.

Double Reggae of course is an obvious choice but what is the coffeeshop like? Check the reviews.

I would have one more question: We would want to try the hash brownies. Can you feel it? or it's weak? We dont want to get really stoned, just a little bit.

go hard on the edibles. I had harder edibles from my granma. IMO the Amsterdam edibles are not really strong. Alot of people say Paradox cakes are the strongest as the have 1.2 grams to a serve, but we thought that the Abraxas cakes worked better and they only are meant to have 0.4 grams in them.

Paradox cakes . Theyre DELICIOUS ! and 3 hours after eaten youll be stonier than beavisandbutthead.

Their weed is also very nice .

Watch out for those Paradox space cakes

Last time I had one it was business as usual for about 2 hours while I merrily carried on smoking weed from one shop to the next then WHAM! I wake up the next day in the hotel with some vaguely pleasent memories of the rest of the day.

I'd say be careful with edibles generally if you are not a regular smoker. They tend to work in kinda unusual ways and at delayed times. With Vape/smoke at least you know what and how much you are getting.

For coffeeshops I'd say if it is a nice day and you want to sit out Hill St Blues at the market or Basjoe. Otherwise I know it is a bit touristy but Dampkring has a cool look to it and it is surrounded by a shopping and entertainment area.

Club Media is really nice and also has a great market on the next street.

If you want edibles, make your own. A tub of AH full fat yogurt and half a gram of your fav hash ground up real fine. You know the dosage and quality of what you are`eating. Full fat is important because that's what the THC dissolves into is the fat.
Dump the ground hash into the tub of yogurt, stir well. Consume right away or let it sit overnight and have it for wake and bake.

***********DO NOT EXPECT INSTANT RESULTS.**********
It can take a while for you to digest things and get them into your system. This is where folks get into trouble, they wait a little while and think nothings happening, lets eat more. Big mistake. This also works on the way out, it's like time release high until you finish digesting it. Your high will last a long time. I have gone to bed and awakened stoned to the bone from edibles.
