/\ /\ This. It's a bit of an old thread but DC knows Amsterdam, he ran the Nes, one of the best smoker friendly bars in town.
Basically you have to have some decent people skills and the self confidence that you can deal with challenging situations when they occur.
Good luck mate. If you're free and got enough resources to get you started go for it. Many people have done it and lived to tell the tale.
There is some beurocracy to working there but not difficult I believe, a few formalities which take a little time so I wouldn't advise going there penniless. 8)
