BES is Bulldog Energy Shop - neither the very ubber best quality or price but super convenient being next door. Leb Red was very tasty and smooth, I like it a lot. It was relatively inexpensive.

EVERYTHING I sampled was TOP QUALITY, very hard to 'rate' them with any accuracy on account of them all being great and keeping me stoned during my waking day. Stand outs were the Pink Grapefruit, PSB and OG19 @ Voyagers, Lemon Haze and Sahara hash @ Hunters, Pineapple Kush and Maximilla hash @ Green Place and the MMG @Grey Area.

I touched ground via Icelandair at 12:55 and was standing in front of Centraal Station by 1:30, fucking amazing
My passport was stamped in Reykjavik going through Iceland and so I had no passport control as I exited Schipol, beautiful. I love that dream-like ‘I can’t believe I am HERE’ feeling and the perma-grin gets pasted on my face as I start walking to Voyagers.


I am a full half hour early for the T&T with Gapie and Andy is bud tending when I get there. After about an hour we walk up to the Bulldog so I can check in. As Gapie and I say goodbye my friend Sandra from the hotel comes out and gives me a big welcome hug, then she checks me in and gives me a nice discount too. I got my shit put away and headed down to the lounge. Before long Marco shows up with a friend at the Bulldog Hotel Bar. It was good to finally meet Marco. Thanks Marco for getting my Crap-Berry on the Bulldog Wifi. Unfortunately, between the malfunctioning BD Internet, the Crap-berry and my ever increasing stoned-ness, precious little web surfing occurred. I saw a fairly large bachelor party tramping about the red lights wearing Avengers outfits and I wished I had a mask so I could join in anonymously.

Monday May 7th 2012
Finding my rhythm now. Wake, bake, breakfast. Chill in front of the hotel until noon or so an start my crawling. After enjoying the music and a few joints at 420 I grab lunch at the Burger Bar. Later I will saunter up to Niew Market at watch the people show from Green Place, gabbing an ice cream at Torfani’s. Stop by the Red Light Coffeeshop to see if Fabio or Manuel are working. In the evening after supper I usually found myself at Abraxas getting their fabulous mint tea. Toke up and wander, that’s me.

Joe and his brother Mike showed up and brought a little sunshine with them. They went to an event at the Olde Kirk but I opted out and kicked around the hotel and the neighborhood. Joe gave me his lanyard from the trip and we hung a 1 gr bag on it with an empty rizla package in it.

As I mentioned, Internet access was difficult so I was only checking once a day in the morning. My cousin Charles is due in tomorrow and we’re all looking forward to seeing him. I see an email from his wife (?) that he hurt his foot and he ‘may’ not make it to Amsterdam. I am very disappointed but I write back to tell him not to worry about it. Then I spent most of the day hobbling around the Dam with Joe (wheelchair) and Mike (crutches). I can’t recall EXACTLY what we did, but I know we stopped at Hunters, Grey Area, 420, Voyagers and Green Place. We did some shopping on the Nieuwendijk and I found a cool skull head sock and a novelty NL licence plate with the letters ST-ON-ED on it. This turned out to be my ‘long’ night with me greeting the dawn and finally catching some sleep at 7:30 am. At the beginning of the night I was just wearing my hoodie and my lanyard. Standing out front having a smoke, I noticed that many people mistook me for a Bulldog employee or security. I had a lot of laughs with this and when it got boring, I put on the skull head sock and sat at the front of the lobby watching people come in. Usually they would see me and break up laughing. This was my desired effect. Sometimes they noticed me and looked nervous, when they did I held up my ‘STONED’ sign and gave them a thumbs up. Almost all of them laughed at this point but one of them gave me the finger. This was also the night that ‘The French Girls’ arrived, there must have been at least 30 of them flooding the lobby with their oh so sexy accents.

A Heineken truck came and pumped fresh brew into the four huge new tanks. Ready to rock! Joe and Mike buy me dinner at the Thai place near Green Place to say thanks for being their oh so generous walking bitch on Thursday. Thanks guys! I am supposed to take a canal tour with my buddy Rob who is starting up a new business right in front of the hotel. Unfortunately, the late night and excellent weed slow me down and I miss it. It doesn’t bother me a lick, I am having a great time. "BEFFEN is a bad word for POO-SZEE lickin"

SIDE THOUGHT: I like the new bar at the Bulldog, it easily hold two bartenders now. As usual, the problem at the Bulldog bar is you spend way too much time staring at the asses of the bartender with an empty glass and some eager euros. THANKS to Notable and admirable exceptions NIGEL, PABLO, REMCO and MICHAEL Another 'complaint' is the loss of the old Men's room urinal mirrors. God how I loved those mirrors!

Departure day comes so quickly. Saying goodbye to everyone, hoping to be back again next year. Thoroughly enjoyed my splif on the way to CS, and another outside of the Airport AFTER I have secured my ticket

These were a big hit. Look for them at the Bulldog Hotel by the fax machine facing the front desk, and on the coffee machine at Grey Area
Surprisingly, actual round trip NYC Metro cards were a big hit too, how easy is that?!?
