All my traveling schedules were on time. I am very fortunate to have met some of you cool people at the Greenhouse Effect coffeeshop where gapie, jollylittlehun and smokeze all gathered for a T&T... the place was crowded and very busy. We moved to Voyager's for awhile and then the fun continued at Batavia Cafe before I made my way out to Almere Haven. Got some great lodging here!
Smoked a variety of weeds today in euro-styled joints (mixed with tobacco) but I have been enjoying the pure sativa Citronella from Utopia which was my 1st purchase and 1st toke of the day after arriving. I met jwall at the airport and we took the train into Centraal Station together and then after getting our luggage situated, we stopped at Utopia and met Ingi and she was super-helpful and very happy to show me the various weeds she had available for sale. Expect video of this shop to appear on YouTube.

Wow! Another great day in Amsterdam! I met with gapie and smokeze and geekymonkey and J and Largeguy and jwall at Voyagers close to 12 noon... I picked up a sample of their Super Lemon Haze at 10 Euro for a gram, it was a very nice smoke and I have enjoyed it all day.
After meeting at Voyagers we went on a crawl that first took us to Siberie and then 137 and then we made our way over to Spirit where there were pinball machines and a pool table. We enjoyed some time there and then went on to visit 1 e Hulp, Paradox, Funky Monkey and Grey Area before me and jollylittlehun broke away from the rest of the pack to go get something to eat at La Grotte, a smoker-friendly establishment that serves burgers and fries and english breakfast while catering to the cannabis afficianado.
jollylittlehun and myself then went to visit coffeeshop El Guapo to find that it had been completely redecorated into a sleek and modern design motif making it feel more open and let in more natural light. Some of the space has been reappropriated and the dealer's booth is now at the back of the shop where there once was a lounge area and table. jollylittlehun bought some product and promises to review it later. I sampled some of what he had and it was pretty nice by my most wasted estimation!
I'm back out in Almere Haven to get a good night's rest before I get up and go to Nijmegen tomorrow.
Moar to come!

I made all my train connections and arrived on time in Nijmegen where I met with alien696 and we went on a walking tour of the city. We visited some of the coffeeshops of the city, including Jamaica, Wonder and Lucky Luke. We also made time to eat at a very nice restaurant.
Moar to come.

A small delay in my plans to take the early train to Switzerland left me with some time to kill in Arnhem.
Since I was there early, I had to wait for an internet cafe to open up so I could locate a coffeeshop. I may have walked by a perfectly good coffeeshop without even realizing it, but with my online research here at ACD and the tourist map I was given while trying to locate the internet cafe, I figured out where a street was located where there was at least 2 different coffeeshops and the 1st one I was able to find was called Upstairs and it is literally upstairs. The door opening at street-level onto the sidewalk leads you directly up a flight of stairs with a landing midway to the top. This shop was 100% Dutch with all Dutch locals for the clientele as far as I could tell.
I didn't look at the menu as I was fully stocked up with weed that I had bought either in Amsterdam or the day before in Nijmegen and I was worried about smoking my own, but I ordered a tea and asked if it would be ok to take it into the smoking room and I was told it would be OK, so I went to the back of the room and sipped tea and toked some Super Silver Haze.
The shop has been divided with a glass wall down the middle of the once fully open space to create a Smoking Room. Some wooden display cases seem to have been worked into the glass partition to create a more substantial division of space. Everyone was friendly during my short stay and I enjoyed my time there and if you ever find yourself in Arnhem, go find Coffeeshop Upstairs and enjoy yourself

What a cool little find.
I'm sorry you have such bad weather for your time in Switzerland. Glad you have some good hash.
It was nice to meet you, and sorry I never had time to sit for another smoke when we bumped into eachother. Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip, and seeing videos!

The weather could be nicer, it has hindered me from capturing much cool video, but I have been having a blast in Switzerland. I took pictures of 5 different varieties of hash earlier today.
My Swiss friend and myself will leave here for Almere, Netherlands on Saturday and we will spend Saturday and Sunday in Almere before moving into the Greenhouse Effect Hotel on Monday. I am looking forward to meeting everyone who will be in town during my stay.
I have noted the various T&T sessions on the schedule and I will attempt to attend them all and bring my Swiss buddy with me.

It's been interesting to observe the cannabis trade here in Switzerland as I have been exposed to it while I have been here. I have seen a small private operation that serves a known and loyal clientele. A phone call to alert the dealer that they are coming and then they show up to have their order of weed or hash weighed out in front of them. The clients are welcome to stay and enjoy a joint or they can buy-and-fly. New clients are added by referral only.
Moar to come!

Here's a quick update to my travel plans for all who have messaged me... I am staying one extra day in Switzerland before returning to Netherlands. My Swiss friend and I will travel by car to Almere where we will spend one night with friends before moving into the Greenhouse Effect Hotel on Monday
I have plans to attend all the scheduled T&T sessions and I hope everyone else will make it also. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing friends again.

I'm just waking up on my last morning in Switzerland. I have already done my wake-n-bake with this nice Swiss grown product which was grown from seeds rather than clones. They call it ''Dragonseed'' and it's very nice. The other Swiss grown variety I have is something called White Heaven. Both of them are enjoyable and popular here with the Dragonseed out-selling the White Heaven at this time but as I understand it, White Heaven has proven to be more popular in the past. I'm just enjoying them both while I can.
My good Swiss friend and I will be leaving here shortly before noon to travel across Germany by car (a Saab) heading straight to Almere Haven to meet with friends from Netherlands. We are crashing there tonight and then we will be moving into the Greenhouse Effect Hotel on Warmoesstraat in Amsterdam.
We are looking forward to meeting everyone at the planned T&T sessions while we are in town.

My Swiss friend and I checked into the Greenhouse Effect early in the afternoon today and were able to get immediately into our room. After climbing the steep stairs up to the top floor and checking out the changes in the Red Man Room we went down to the bar to relax and have a toke. We stopped in at Baba's Souvenir Shop and did a little fact-finding research. We came back to the bar to discuss what we are going to have for supper and we have decided to have oriental at a restaurant here on Warmoesstraat.
I am looking forward to meeting everyone at the T&T tomorrow.

Here I am at the Greenhouse Effect Hotel after spending my first night in the Red Man Room. I am waiting for my Swiss friend to get up and at 'em after a late night of wandering around the centrum and toking. Our meal last night was delicious. We ate at the Si-Chuan Restaurant on Warmoesstraat. Not only was the food great but we also enjoyed excellent service as well as reasonable prices for the centrum.
I would also like to take the time now to rave about the great breakfast buffet here at the Greenhouse Effect which is served free for hotel guests from 9am until 12 noon. I always try to eat twice during this time since it's available. It's a great value and makes staying here even more attractive. I have stayed here many times since 1999 and I have heartily recommended the Greenhouse Effect as a destination ever since. Value and location make it a choice spot for your home base or meeting point.
One thing that has changed is the hotel guest discount offered on purchases at the coffeeshop, Instead of giving you a straight 10% discount on your purchases just by showing your key at the dealer's booth, you are now given discount vouchers at the time you check in to the hotel. These discount vouchers give you 2 euro off on your purchase of 20 euro or more. I do not like this new system because I don't usually purchase 20 euro worth of weed or hash at any one time, but at least the option is available to me as a hotel guest.
I seriously wish we would get a break in the current weather trend so we can have some time to walk around without getting rained on, Some sunshine would be a nice treat too. Be that as it may, my main agenda item for the day is getting to Voyager's at 3pm to meet the cool ACD people who are also in town at this time. I am looking forward to it and have been for awhile now.
Moar to come...
