Almost there! One more day should get me through the weed. :) (This has been a sprint, but if I wait then all the info gets old...) The WORST is that I've been holding off editing too many of the pictures in order to get the writing done. (I could just play with pictures all day.)
Old Geezer wrote:What a great trip report. I started out taking notes on each coffee shop and what I smoked. But before I left I counted 8 unknown empty bags from 3 or more coffee shops whose name I don't remember. You filled in a bunch of blanks and foggy areas in my memory banks. I had a great time and will be back. So many strains so little time.
I'm glad you're enjoying it J (I kind of want to call you OG-J in the stories, is that ok?) I had so much fun with you and am already looking forward to the next time our paths cross. If you only lost 8 strains in all that we smoked, you did an amazing job with your notes. (and only have notes on, what, like 257 strains?  ) You should at least post the list of what you smoked as a report- there's no need for it to be fancy or anything. And now I promise that will be the last time I beg you to write a trip report.

It's Gapie's job to beg you from now on.

Thanks Craig! It was really nice hash, and for a great price.

I've edited the de Graal kashmir entry to reflect that when not in full-on amsterdam brain, it is intensely powerful in its effect. Honestly on par with some of the isos and concentrates I've smoked. Foggy, time warping, and long lasting. Wow.

Gapie, how on earth were you walking after you finished that Shaman joint? Wait til you see the whole photo series of you smoking it. So cool!!!

Sorry y'all, I've been playing with pictures this morning rather than finishing those last three strains. (Bad monkey!)

Really will get to it today provided I develop a modicum of self control. In brief- My favorite smokes were Motivation from Club Media mixed with Gardela Hash from de Graal, and the Casey Jones from Voyagers. Buy the Lemon Skunk at Bluebird, skip the MT Cook.)

Rolling with Gapie sure has improved my joint-rolling skills. (Sneaky monkey watches and learns. )

Mmmm, Etta, the sweet taste of sandalwood, and a rainy weekend with my baby. Have a great day, my party peoples!

Thanks Big Dan and Uncle Ron, it's nice to see the people reading along. Makes it so much more fun for me.

I keep trying to count how many strains I smoked in my three days, and I keep loosing count. 25 ish? Not bad for a little monkey on her own. And I lied about three more reviews, there are five.

I have been told that I am an unreliable narrator.

25ish?
Must be nice to have that kind of $$$... :)
... or the Franc/Euro exchange rate was very friendly.
A poor dirt farmer such as myself has to make due with a couple of different strains per day, if under 8E per gram that is...
Thank you for sharing your moments.

Club Media's Motivation

Cisco had given the heads-up that the weed he had gotten at Media hadn’t been absolutely tops on his last trip, so I approached the dealer with a slight caution. Having smoked with Cisco a few times, I know that he is picky in the same ways I am. I told the lovely woman that I was looking for something stoney, and that “I’m mostly looking for something strong that’s really nicely grown and flushed.”

She showed me the Crystal, which was indeed sparkling like something in a jewelry store with a light fresh smell, and the lemon skunk which had a great tart lemon nose that tangled pleasingly with a distinctive note of piney skunk. That had my mouth watering and me seriously tempted. Then she opened the Motivation (11e/g). The fresh tart lime smell with a powdery rosemary funk almost knocked me over. The aroma was strong and clear and had me asking for 15 Euro of it in half a heart beat. She gave me one big beautiful nugget that sparkled in the afternoon light.

The taste is fresh tart lime with a refreshing piney skunk finish. It’s strongly stoney with a pleasant warm pep to it in the form of increased mental activity. I would gladly smoke a tub of this.

De Graal's Gardela Hash

Oily concentrated dark goodness. (16 e/g) Aromatic ginger, anise, and sandalwood smell with a spicy ginger and licorice flavor. Very peaceful, soaring, and strongly stoney. It seems to make me utterly stoned yet clear.

I joined Gapie and Old Geezer at Nes, where Gapie twisted a chunk of the Motivation into a perfect cone with some of the Gardela Hash from De Graal. After OG-J hit it he exclaimed, “Well this is just delicious.” And it was, fresh and spicy, ginger and lime. I used to make a cocktail with homemade ginger ale, lime and dark rum, and here were those luscious flavors in joint form. The joint was warm social, and intensely stoney. It had my head soaring and body utterly relaxed.

another two excellent pages from "geekymonkey's guide to the smokes of amsterdam", an invaluable source of information for the visitor who enjoys their marijuana and hashish

imho you have now found the perfect style for your guide - a photo, the name of the smoke and then the description mixed in with a bit of real-world chat and anecdote

change the names and you have a product

ps btw i wonder what you would say if you could taste the smokes through an arizer extreme q ... it delivers in the vapour the essence of the taste without the fog of the by-products of combustion ... i am tempted just to give you one to see what divine descriptions would ensue

I am such a novice to Amsterdam and to weed.is I am so glad that I found “ACD” with great ease I found someone to meet me at the airport to get this beginner on the right start. Once more thank you “DRA” for taking me under your Wing & getting this novice from airport to hotel and then to my first coffeshop ever.
The biggest thing I will tell anyone for the first time in Amsterdam is be ready to do a lot of walking! But once you get in to the Spirit of things you’ll love it. The people in general are very sweet and helpful. And I met Gapie for the first time At Voyagers @a T&T and he is a trip, Gapie mind is on a fast track but he is an artist in rolling joints. The way they roll joints is here is very different from us in the states I think it is a better way. And the papers are also different than ours it is thinner and smoother to smoke To listen to everyone is like being in a restaurant listening to a bunch of France man or Italian men talk about the quality of their wines, it great! And thank you “geekymonkey” for showing me how to use the trams (Street cars). I will use this information on my return to the Dam on the 16th &before I go home on the 18th. But I will return next late April or May 2013 if world make it through the 21st of December 2012 LOLI think it will only be a another day. I feel the 2012 scare will be like the computer melt down scare coming into the new 21st century. Something different always scare people. And I think this may be the biggest problem in the world. Something different about people or thing scare people. In all my travels I did in the 70’s I learned that everyone are much alike, all they wish is to make it through the day in one piece and pay their bills eat and just wake up in the mornings so they can see another goriest day.
