My friend got some 2 thai pre rolls from sheeba, and they smell and taste like just tobacco, not to mention, its a struggle to hold it in,
anyone else?

yeah, dont bother with pre rolls. ever.
a) you cant tell how much is really in them
b) you cant tell the quality
c) you cant tell how long they've been waiting there going dry

if you cant roll, use a pipe or borrow a bong.

Yeah best to roll your own but I will say Baba pre roll strong ( cheese ) joints was ok got quite stoned on one before I left for the airport.

... there are also those pre-rolled empty cones all over the city. Since they are already rolled and have a cardboard mouthpiece already in them, all you need to do is fill them from the top. Which is dead easy, what with them being cones and all

As for pre-rolled: I would also avoid them. You don't know what's in there (probaby fairly crappy leftover stuff) and how long it's been in there. Once a bud is broken up and the surface area maximized, oxydation will take its toll and THC content will be going down fast. So yeah, the cones are the way to go if you can't roll but want to smoke a joint. Otherwise, obviously pipes, bongs and vaporizers are your next options.

Pre-rolled is a definite opportunity to get rid of the Coffeeshop trash if they want to, not all shops but a lot do.
Although I know better I still buy one from time to time, on a recent visit I bought a pre-roll from Jolly Joker which was absolutely burn your throat-dry-as fc--k but the one I got from Bluebird was awesome and wiped me out, so much that I couldn't remember what it was when my mates asked me so they could get one
I wouldn't say Sheeba was a rip-off as it is usually OK for fair quality weed but better for space muffins, brownies, fudges and drinks.

Many of those shops in that area see a big throughput of tourists and are not the best places for great gear. Research the forum a bit and you will turn up some gems.

my first purchase in the DAM was a pre rolled from Central. I don't know why, but i thought i should be intimidated by the strength of weed in the DAM. when i asked for a "light Sativa" the budtender heard , " i'm a sucker, please rip me off" it was tobacco all the way. so I will never ever buy a pre rolled again.. just use the pre made cones.

Sheeba was quite a sick place Found it whilst lookin for Route 66, but it was closed.

Friendly staff, doesn't seem like the place that would rip off people.

sounds to me you bought the pre rolled with tobacco in it, there are 2 types of weed joint pure and tobacco, but like stated by others try not to buy the pre rolled and if you do ask for pure,
