Koningsplein Webcam 20th April

Post by Lemming »

When I want to find out what the weather is like in Amsterdam or be carried back there by the sound of a tram bell, I check out the Koningsplein Webcam. In case you don't know, you can watch it yourself here: http://www.terena.org/webcam/.

Koningsplein (King's Square) is actually a wide bridge over the Singel canal carrying a road and a busy tram line. The camera streams high-res live video with sound.

Last year we suggested that everyone meet in the nearby Dampkring and go to wave at the webcam at 3.20pm before we went to 420/de Kuil. Cattales1960 picked up the idea and made a banner and everything. In typical stoner fashion we didn't quite hit the published time (we were actually early!) but lots of people turned up and waved at all the folks back home

Anyway, are we up for giving it another try this year? I'm thinking a little earlier this year, say 2.20pm, two hours before 4.20.

Hi Lemming,

I'm up for the 'Wave', not sure about 2.20pm though, 3.20's better for me.

Having the wave at 3:30pm does not leave much time to make the waddle up to 420 for 4:20 though.
If I don't see you no more in this world, I'll meet you on the next one.

Doing the 4:20 wave, to the rest of the poor bastards around the world who are wishing they could be there with you, at any minute in time other than 4:20PM Amsterdam time? Dastardly indeed
