Hello!
Some v. good advices on that post already...
ICMAG is a true gem.
I'd say the best advice I can give is "Keep it simple" all the chems and grow kits and supplements aren't neccessary, don't get caught up in all the BS hype.
I second that totally.Savage marketing has taken over even the growing thing big time.Lots of people think they HAVE TO spend huge amounts of money and get all the latest hi tech nutes, 14 different additives, etc...to achieve good weed. They usually will never admit that a good supermarket fertilizer can do wonders if used properly in a good growing environment.
My personal advice would be:
A tight, efficient grow room is one of the keys.Make sure all the elements are controlled and dialed BEFORE putting yr seedlings/clones in:good Lights/airflow balance will result in an ideal T° between 20 and 30°c max...
Invest in a good carbon scrubber if odor can be an issue where you live.
Start with good genetics, easy to grow and forgiving. You could put all the love and care in a poor bagseed weed, you'll always end up with a poor bagseed weed.Ideally, some selected clones (indica dominant preferably=short, bushy plants, good yielders) or good, proven champion strains in seeds form!!
One of the easiest strain I've grown was Skunk #1.But there are tons of them.
Don't wait too long before switching the lights to 12/12 (inducing the flowering period). One of the most common beginner's mistake:bear in mind that most strains will (on average) double in size within the 2 weeks after the switch, and the "canopy" can be a hassle to manage...and avoid 'light leaks' in the grow room during the 12hrs dark period.
Don't overwater
Don't over prune
Don't tell nobody.
partnerships are sinking ships...
so on and so on..
Learn frm yr mistakes, every grow will be better than previous one, but nowhere near as good as the next one!!!
and let us know!!
