Well, there's two factors - taste and potency (or effect, I suppose). If taste is your preference, almost every place does their cake differently, and yes, Baba's are nicely done. Most places that have cakes usually have 2 or three flavors - Chocolate, Vanilla, sometimes Banana or Marble or something else. Finding a cake you like for taste would be just as challenged as to find a favorite non-space muffin or cake in regular bakeries in this town.

Potency is another issue - Most places use .2-.4g of decent hash per cake/muffin/cookie/etc. However, and I don't know if anywhere else does more than that amount, but Hill St. Blues has a cake with nearly a full gram of hash is each piece. It just tastes like a dry piece of chocolate cake with a hint of hash. However, trust me that once you've had one, you'll know where the money went.

Also, remember that if you smoke often and while you eat the cake, you'll have a hard time noticing the effects, though it won't seriously harm you. Good luck.

Also, for a change, Abraxas is one of the very fe shops with Bonbons at the moment. 2, a piece, and each has about .2g of hash. Chow down, and welcome to the ACD, man.

A-Bomb...H-Bomb... it was inevitable.

I thought the hash bon-bons at Chocolata (which I understand now has been absorbed by Abraxas) were actually fairly tasty. My wife and I ate one each, along with a half-piece of space cake each, and for about an hour thereafter, she kept wondering aloud why she felt nothing.

We spoke about it again a couple hours later, after she woke up.

At the end of the day, I'd just rather smoke it than eat it, I guess.

jBomb: GF and I had some of that HSB 1 g a piece Space Cake (got it at #2 @ the market w. some very nice hash, #2 is a damn fine alternative to the Warmoesstraat one, although that’s where we lived). I chatted to the dealer earlier and had expressed my slight disappointment with the muffins from Abraxas and cake from Coin, both of which I had a kick from, but not as much as I would like. Long story short he personally guaranteed that I’d be impressed with the effect of this (at this point he mentioned the 1.0 fact, which did surprise me since the Abraxas ppl had told me there was about the .2-.4 U mentioned in most cakes and muffins, which seemed quite reasonable to me). It did surprise me, but, when I think back, mainly by being extremely mellow in the rush.

The only space-product that really blew our minds was the Choko-Coco-Hash Bonbons from Abraxas. GF and I had one each and strolled around the RLD for about half an hour waiting for the kick (RLD being so close to “home”, it was just heaven). When it hit both of us were half giggling like schoolgirls half reeling from the massive visual effect this bonbon had. It kinda felt like everything moved with a distinct inertia, as if the world (and this was everywhere, both when walking along the canals and in the staircase at the Hostel) was attached to you by long somewhat elastic poles and would only move in that fashion. Now, neither the GF nor I are anything resembling lightweights so this was very very very (as the dear Cmd. Lazard would say) surprising, and a shit load of fun. Go for those ASAP guys and girls, they were also very tasty, bordering on dangerously tasty considering what effects you might have to face if you were to indulge…
