Hello!!!

Didn't think i'd get to go to Amsterdam this year, but after pestering the Mrs she's finally given in and we're going for two nights at the begining of June (mind you i have got to pull my finger out and get some decorating and jobs done around the house now)
We are Staying very close to the Vondelpark and i'm not familiar with this area and wonder if you guys could recommend a couple of coffeeshops with a nice chilled out vibe and good menu, I would normally go to Paradox, Amnesia or Dutch Flowers.

Looking forward to exploring this area for a change but will find time to pop to Paradox...

Also am i ok to assume that as long as there aren't children or too many people around i would be able to get away with a cheeky Biffta in the Vondelpark? your advise on this would be appreciated as i wouldn't want to upset any locals or get into any bother.

Cheers Doobie!!!

Tuintje and Tweedy are the only shops I have been to near Vondelpark. And there should be no problems with lighting up in the park as long as there are no children around.

Peace

amsterdam is a walkable city and the trams are excellent

my view is that you should visit paradox or amnesia or dutch flowers as you usually would, then roll some smokes to put in your pocket and head for vondelpark either by foot or on a tram

here is a link to one of my old posts from the past about my vondelpark tour for a first-timer
