I now have an original Journey and a Journey2.

They avoided the magnet problem with the Journey2 buy using only two magnets.
For some reason the decided to put an indent on bottom of the lid. This makes it
ten grams lighter also.

My Journey2 is the Smokey Mirror finish and it does look nice.

My heart is still with the original. Both are great smoking implements.

Enjoy

Only glass for me. That's why I bought the PUK pipe. Saw the one Tomoya bought at the last CC and had to get one myself. .

have mine since two weeks and have used it only two times since it arrived. I like it, but you need a rubber band to secure it from rotating in your pocket. It's great to take the dog for a walk with some weed ready to smoke. 2.5gr fit easy in the 6 hits.

as handy as the magic flight, but to smoke.
If the drills would be reworked by flamepolishing it would be perfect imo.

Hi usbonglord.

If you are referring to the Journey product line, I think you are quoting a price for the Journey Pipe not the new Journey2 which is priced at
US $ 44.95 to US $ 69.95.

The Journey Pipe is being sold through our old manufacturing partner and not the same pipe - for 1 thing, the Journey2 can filter particles 4 times smaller down to .25 mm, additionally it only comes in a matt grey finish and it has 3 magnets. One easy way to tell them apart is to lift the lid piece off, turn it over and see if it says: Journey2, the original Journey Pipe does not have such writing on it.

Beautiful piece indeed!

Cheers,

The Journey Pipe Team.
Manufacturers of the original Journey Pipe and the new Journey2 [in 4 finishes].

Wow

I just got the new journey2 a couple weeks ago.
(Thanks to the great journey team offering a very generous
Discount after I made an innocent inquiry about the inner coating of the original journey).
was keeping it in the box all shiny and new, did not realize it was actually improved.
Guess I will pull it out and see if I can tell a difference. : >

I have been eyeballing the journey pipe for some time now. Most people hate metal pipes soooooo much they clog tread about metal pipes with useless answers, so I'm kinda glad to find this one.

There are only two things that keep me from buying one:
- I suppose the smoke is more harsh compared to a glass spoon, but is it really that bad?
- Metal isn't exactly the healthiest material to smoke from, but does the journey 2 coating have the same peeling problem due to heat?

I'm thinking of buying the smokey mirror, so advice would be very welcome! :D

I think the smokey mirror is the best choice in terms of peeling issues. (and it looks good too) I Love it! I find it less harsh than smoking a joint. It cleans up well, (I clean it after every bowl) It is well designed and the screenless aspect is really wonderful. Also the little cover allows you to toke and close it - you lose less smoke and it is very discreet when you need it to be! : >
I suggest you buy it directly from the company, because they will give you a lifetime guarantee.
I had a peeling issue with my first two basic nickel coated pipes -- they just asked for a picture and then sent a new pipe
been using them for 2 years now. hope that helps..
