that was the Journey 1 that had the magnet problems
they changed the design (magnet placement) on the Journey 2 and now no more magnet issues...
(besides all you need is a bit of glue to fix it with the journey 1)

This thread is now a top result when you google journey pipe, and still no freebie! It's junk! Listen to these warnings!

ya gotta order from the journey pipe company directly. That way you get a lifetime guarantee on the pipe - I have received 2 replacements so far for FREE. They are great folks to do business with.

My 'smoky mirror journey2' pipe finally arrived and I must say it's amazing!
After all those bad comments on metal pipes, I didn't expect it to be SO damn good.

It hits surprisingly smooth and if there is any impact on the taste, then it must be so subtle that I didn't notice it when I lit up some G13. You can pack as little as you want to about 0.25-0.3.
While you don't clean a spoon after you have cleared the bowl this pipe cleans so easy, you can have a perfect hit every time.

The only inevitable con is that it's metal, so there could be an health issue.

FYI: I sent the following 2 emails to Journey2.com, customer service, and I have not received a response to my inquiry:

Hello,
I am a member of the ACD website and discovered your Journey 2 on that site.
I commend you on your very innovative and aesthetic design. The screenless design and filtering system has taken pipes to a whole new level.

That said, as you know, the Achilles Heel of your pipe are the magnets. The bottom one has pulled out on me twice. You can see from the photos that I have crimped the edge of the pipe over the magnet to hold it in. In the process, I am destroying the pipe. Have you come up with a permanent solution to the magnet problem?

I am also concerned with the finish on the inside. You can see on the photos that there are several orange spots that look like rust on the inside of the bowl and on the outside of the bowl next to the magnet. I have the smokey mirror pipe and am surprised that the titanium finish would do that. I am quite concerned about the metal in that condition being a health hazard. Please advise me regarding any potential health hazards that could be caused from the pipe with that condition.

Thank you.

I am wondering why I have not received a response to my email inquiry.
I am not looking for a free pipe. I am only seeking answers to my questions?

I have an awful feeling they may have gone under. Their phone number has been engaged permanently for days and my email to them asking if they had an alternative number bounced back...might be wrong, but not looking good..

On 1/7/14 when I sent my original email inquiry to Journey2.com I received an email back from Emmanuel Lemor, exlemor@gmail.com, as well as one from Journey2 customer service, which was a notification of receipt of my inquiry that included my ticket number and password. That was the last that I heard from Emmanuel or the company.

Since I received no reply to my inquiry, I assume that there are some liability issues that prevent a reply.
