Hi there im wondering if some people would be able to help me,I am planning to come out in August 2012.Its for my boyfriends birthday, who wants to try the coffee shop experience, but we are very confused as to if we are allowed in the coffee shops, due to so many different info on the ban?We are planning to come on the 10th and stay for 2-3 nights and wondered what sort of prices the hotels would be and if there are any to avoid.I would be very gratefull for any advice given.many thanks

Yes you can smoke in AMsterdam and will be welcomed in the coffeshops all the way up until January 2013, as for hotels just use the search function or peruse the hotel sections on here. I would expect to pay 70 to 120 euro for a double.

Welcome to the forum.
You have been posted on the August
Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.
https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/membe ... le&u=78101
I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
You can do a little practice shopping on the
Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.
Enjoy

Its to bad were just gonna miss u we r leaving august 6th and will have stayed 4, 2 week.We got the best prices at a hotel@ Maggys Guesthouse for 96$ us dollars we got it thruwww. HostelBookers.com but its a guesthouse private room and ensuite.right across from centruum train staion and they say their a smoke friendly hotel but then 4 the 2nd week we rented a room form a couples apartment and we booked that thru
https://www.wimdu.co and that ended up being 400$ for 7 nights a much better deal and yes u can smoke at evry coffeshop there's a limit of 5grams per shop until 2013 if your anything but European. So make the most of it and keep in mind its 20-30$us dollars a gram over there of course u get a bit of a better deal if u buy 3-5grams at a time,If I were u I would extend your trip for longer u will never b able 2 experience it again after this year!PEACE<LOVEGOOD TOKING!
