Make sure you have decent camera with you, not just for your trip report (which promises to be aweseome, BTW) but mostly for your own memories of your first trip to the city of our dreams

Hey guys^^ yeah sorry for not updating, I will actually give you's a report over the next few days/week. I'll let you know why I didn't first of all though.
Monday 7th of May (day before we leave)
I got up early around 8 am as I was working, my thoughts were that working the day before would keep my mind off of it as I had been buzzing to go for about 10 weeks now! So off to work I went, had a fairly quiet and laidback day which is just what I wanted although my earlier plan to keep my mind off the impending Dam trip was failing....miserably, I kept thinkin this time tomorrow I'll be on the plane...this time tomorrow I'll be checking in.....this time tomorrow I'll be fucking wasted etc.
So 6pm comes and my last day of work is done. My Euros are already safely tucked awway in my house my case is sitting ready to be packed, the only thing for to do (beside pack) was to go pick up some last day smoke for me and my 2 buds, so off I went, picked up a q and rolloed myself one for the walk home, got home around 7pm grabbed a bite to eat, rolled another joint and went outside to smoke it. Whilst outside I phoned my 2 buds and told them come round about 10/11pm so I could grab a quick power nap before they came, went in fell asleep and woke up around 10pm.
Up until now, and even up until we got to Amsterdam went extremely smooth...too smooth as it turned out!! But more on that later.
I woke up quickly packed my case making sure I had everything...check...passport...check, even had a notebook with a list off coffeeshops I wanted to visit and a list of the strains you guys on here reccomended. So case was packed and everything was going to plan just before 11pm my 2 buddies showed up..great timing, the joints got rolled quickly and the bong began it's rotation between us all, after a few bong hits we decide to walk my dogs whilst we smoke our joints, get back in just before 12am, this leaves us 6 hours and 30 minutes before we have to consider getting the taxi, so we sit play some PS3 and watch a film or 2. We all crashed out around 4am after some more smoking and that was it...alarm went off at 6am I shot up rolled up most of what we had into a nice big joint...then loaded up the bong. 6:20am arrived and we head outside to smoke our last joint...and phone a taxi, taxi comes about 10/15 mins later...just enough time to finish our smoke and we were away.
Tuesday 8th May (First day)
So we get to the airport in plenty of time, get the bags checked in and go for a wander until we have to go to the departure lounge. We were pretty muchied byt this point, having stayed up late smoking, having no breakfast and smoking before we headed to the airport. As memory served Glasgow airport had a MacDonalds....I was wrong (or at least we couldn't find it!) so we settled for a store bought sandwich, which in fairness was pretty good, a bottle of coke and some sweets for the plane. 8:45 am we get asked to head to the departure lounge...happpy days we were on our way!! Got there in no time and were about 15th in line to get on, funnily enough standing behind a mid twenties girl with dreadlocks! The only stoner-ish looking person in the line (besides us
) got onto the plane and found seats...everything still going smooth despite my hatred of flying!!
11:20am (Amsterdm time)
Our plane landed 15mins early, again happy days, so we shoot round to collect our bags thinking this is going to take ages, how wrong we were all 3 of our cases came off in amongst the first 10 or 15 cases so 10 mins from stepping off the plane we had found the baggage area and got our suitcases result! Now all we had to do was find out where to get the train...we just followed the crowd until we seen signs for it and that was us down to platform 7 I think and just had to wait, we seen a train approach and just asked a local guy who was waiting if it was the right one he said "yes...but the express one will be along in a few minutes just wait" Ok we though this should be fine...and sure enough a few minutes later another arrived and the loacl boarded...we just followed his lead, we just stood on the train as it was quite busy and we didn't want to drag our cases through the train. About 10 mins into the trian journey (think it took about 20mins in total) I thought to myself and aloud to my friends "Shit, we didn't get any tickets for this" however by the time we got into Amsterdam central no-one had questioned us about tickets...so hey we got a free train ride into Amsterdam.
We got off the train about 12pm and seeked the exit, I tried to tell my friends the way we were going was wrong but they insisted....I was right, we came out the back entrance and had to walk all the way round lol. Not to worry though we were in Amsterdam after all!! We were staying just outside the centrum towards the east, we though no worries Amsterdams a small city ( boy were we wrong) We had a map, and I had a map on my phone so we typed in the hotel address and proceeded to locate it, now due to our underestimation and lack of knowledge of the city it took us about 1hr 30mins to get to the hotel. (by the end of the trip it only took us 45mins to get there) We apologise for being a touch late but it isn't a problem, we drag ourselves up 3 flights of stairs, they really are steep! and get into our room...everything looks fine. Great I thnk just dump our stuff and head off into the centrum, I decide I'm going to unpack now, knowing that due to the amount of smoking I planned on doing, if it didn't get done now it wouldn't at all! My 2 friends agree and do the same, so we're unpacked and ready to go. I think hey I'll just grab my notebook pen and ACD map to take with us. I shout to my friend "Hey wheres your backpack with the laptop and my notebook and stuff" he just looks at me with a shocked look, "haven't you got it?" "Hell no!! It's your bag...you had it the whole time" I replied.....so to cut that bit short...we had lost the bag with the laptop and everything in it ( still had spare ACD maps so not all was lost) this is why I haven't posted in here for so long!
I will continue this a little later and try to finish off the first day...it was pretty eventful in the end so theres still quite a bit of the first day to hear about.

So starting off from where I left off..
It's maybe about 2pm now on our first day in tge Dam, I'm still pretty pissed about the laptop at this point but decide we should move on from it and go grab some smoke. First things first though...we have to go buy a bong to use trouhout the trip, we wandrr around a couple of head shops befor turning into a souviner type shop, looked fairly shit on first glance for their bong selection..we were erong ee eent in and went up some stairs and spot some really nice glass bongs. A bit out our pri e range we say amongst ourselves....the guy musta heard us because we just hear "they don't have to be that price!" from the corner of the shop...I laughed picked out a nice 55euro one and asked if he would do it for 40...he agreed. Happy days!! We head out and in search of a coffeeshop...we have the ACD map and a normal map, being our first day and first time they were both fairly useless to be fair but by the 2nd or 3rd day I had it totally mastered.
Head off down the streets and triugh the alleys somewhat aimlessley...when suddenly tucked down an alley I spot Abraxas...wasn't my favourite mainly down to pre packaged gear, however before we enter I remember a vitak piece of our smoking equipment missing..a grinder....fortunately beside abraxas coffeeshop is anither shop of theres and we picked up a big, good quality grinder for 20euro...so off into abraxas, I bought nothing...and my 2 friends picked up a g of white widow each they rolled some up and sparked up, I told them I wanted to head elsewhere to get some nicer gear for my first smoke. I think we headed for greenhouse centrum where I think I took a g of Super Lemon Haze...not too strong but great smell/taste to it 6/10 we sat i there for a bit befor heading off again se then headed down to green place where I picked up a g of cherry berry and a g of exodus cheese, the exoxus cheese was pretty strong and knocked me for 2 for a little great smell and the taste matched 7/10, the cherry berry didn't taste great imo and didn't pack a great punch 6/10. My friends were starting to moan about feet being sore blah blah so I said we'd head home for now.....but managed to stumble back to 420 accidently where I insisted on going before going home, went in asked for the reccomendation of the day...was directed to the lovely smelling and looking 420 kush...a g of that pleases...fly n buy done and we headed home, got in around 6:30pm or so and thought we would sit and chill that night.....how wrong that turned out, but I will continue and finish off day 1 in the Dam tomorrow as it's late and I'm gonna get high and sleep...Peace!!

Sorry for the delay..been lazy recently.
Anyway picking up from where I left off...It's been an eventful first 6 hours in Amsterrdam...but I was already in love with the place, and after picking up some nice gear for the night I had all but got over losing my laptop. As I said my 2 mates were begining to moan about wanting to go back to the apartment so I agreed to take them home...by now it was quite obvious I was the designated leader of the group which I liked to be honest because it meant I could stick to a rough guide of what coffeeshops to go to, plus I was the only one of the 3 of us who could fully function while high!
Being the first day we had totally underestimated just how big the 'small' city was and had decided to walk everywhere (this quickly stopped after the first day lol) so we set off back to the apartment from 420...joint in hand for the walk of course. We get by the front of central station and walk along by Voyagers etc, we were still a good 30/40 min walk to the apartment from here, as we're walking we spot 5 black guys coming towards us, as we approach they start talking to us...just the standard 'where you from blah blah' then one of tthem asks u for a fag...we tell him we have none (we're finished our joints at this point too) they then start asking us if we have any weed on us, again we say no and they kind of snigger and say 'yeah right' at this point I just said 'look, sorry but we don't have anything on us we are heading home for the night to rest' they seem to just accept it and move on..phew! got a bit nervous for a bit there!
Fast forward another 30/40min walk to the apartment and we're home for the night so we think...Get in and we sit our stuff down and js chill for a min...my friends wwant to get high...I suggest heading down the street to te nearby supermarket before we get high....they disagree and want to try the bong first...fair enough I was dying to try it too! So out oonto the balcony it is...load bong with water and ice and put a filter in, grind up some marijuana and proceed to get high, as you'll know a new bong takes you a couple of pulls to get uesed to.we're all pretty fried....I suggest the supermarket again and they agree reluctantly, I'm very glad I ended up the leader of our group as we would hve got nothing done in any kind of time scale leaving it to my friends! Get to the supermarket grab a couple of pizzas some beers some juice,milkl,fruit and cereal etc...back to the apartment and dump our shopping, flick on the tv and roll a joint. Our plans for the night were to sit and chill a bit then head to 1 or 2 coffeshops near us...they were Trefpunt and Happy people...there were a few more but they were the closest to us. So joints rolled we move out to the balcony for another round of bongs...after 4 or 5 rounds we're all suitably baked and begin to smoke our joints, after lighting up and taking a few drags I'm feeling pretty fucked and happy to take it easy tonight, so I'm just smoking away, head leaned back eye closed with music playing through my phone. BUMP,DINK,THUD!! Wtf was that I open my eyes and my friend J is just looking over at me guiltily, 'what did you do?' 'Ehmm I kinda ehmm fuck! Look!' he's pointing to our new bowl/downsttem ts now n 3 pieces on the floor! 'Fuck sakes, your a fool!' I said half serious and half just trying not to laugh/cry. 'I'll pay for the new one' says J 'Damn right you will, that's not what bothers me though...we need to walk all the way bck into the centrum now!' I was kinda glad as I wantd to visit a coffeeshop or 2 but walking around so much earlier on had taken it's toll and I was pretty sore. D of our group, who is the lazyest and least functional when high, doesn't want to treck into the centrum with us...fair enough it's been a long day and all. So me and J head out just after 8pm.
As before we are walking, leave the apartment and begin to walk the way we had before, but I spot a tram track and since we don't really know where to go I suggest we just follow the tram lines and that'd get us into the centrum eventually...don't ask me why we didn't just get on a tram as I still don't know why we didn' to this day! Our walk ended up taking us by the front of the Artis zoo which was pretty cool seeing the flamingo's and stuff, so after about 45mins-an hour of walking/getting lost and trying to use the signs to direct us towards the centrum we start to see some souviner/head shops and head into a couple to look for a decent bowl/downstem after a couple of shops we find a decent boost one..9euros or something happy days!
Mission accomplished we consider our options...there was only ever going to be one outcome here...head for the coffeeshops. Off we go in search of a coffeshop I had heard good things about from ACD...Utopia, I think we get there just after 9 go in and it's pretty empty from memory, this time it was the female budtender very nice lady and happy to make suggestions and show us a couple of tubs, can't remember what we asked to see but she mentioned the Eddlewiess was very good atm, I=it smelled pretty nice and had some nice tight looking buds, 1 gram for me and J got the same...I think we borrowed a bong aswell and a coke 2euro I think, sit down,roll up,hit the bong and get high. We sat for maybe 30 mins or so then return our bong say thanks and head out again...didnt really have a plan of action for the rest of the night...besides keeping an eye out for a burger bar which had been hiding from us thus far! We stumble down the road a bit and pass by the grasshopper2 keep on going as I didn't fan the grassshopper, eventually got to coffeeshop Resin, this was a shop I hadn't heard much on so I asked J if he wanted to go in and see what it was like..he agreed so we went it, looked at some Nevilles haze and some NYCD...we both swung for a g of the NYCD grabbed a seat trough back and rolled up..the NYCD was decent enough from memoery 6.5/10 roughly, oh and the Eddlewiess from earlier was very nice...not the greates taste wise but pleasent enought and packed a great punch for the preice think it was 10euro a gram 7/10 for the Eddlewiess...If I remember right the NYCD was 12euro per gram. We leave Resin around 10pm I think and head off towards the genral 420 area to get our bearings a bit.however just a few minutes after leaving Resin it begins to rain and is getting heavy, I remember the Grasshopper2 is near so we jump in there out the rain, from my memory this was the worst coffeshop we visited in terms of the budtender, after asking for our ID which is fine, he says the menu is over there pointing to a wall, so over we go..press big red button...menu comes up so I walk back over and ask to see a couple of different hashes..eventually settle for some Maliana?? very unsure of the name, ask for a gram...get told there is a 20euro minumum purchase, I thought about just leaving it but since the rain was still on I caved and said, purchase made I ask for a bong to try it out and he gives me a decent enough one...although I'm not a huge fan of plastic bongs, I ask if we can just go grab a seat he says 'yes, but sit in that area'pointing to the sort of conservatory out front..which is where we were gonna head anyway so we go down have quite a few bing hits of the hash...was pretty good from memory but it was my only hash of the trip...I was after some nice really soft/buttery hashes but never managed to find one. Give the Maliana a 6/10 and I'll say this for Grasshopper as I have heard alot of people say the demand you buy a drink no matter if you buy weed or not, the guy never even hinted at us to buy drinks even though only I made a purchase. Sat here until around 10:45pm roughly then we headed out again walked for about 5 mins and came across betty boop but I didn't know if it was still open so we walked by for now and seen coffeeshop BEN...were going to walk by but the shisha caught J's eye and he wanted to go in...fair enough and in we go..I get a coke my friend does also and grabs a gram of amnesia haze I think, head into the smoking room in back and proceeded to roll and smoke a few joints...we stayed there till around 11:30/45pm and it took us almost that full amount of time to notice there was a cat in the smoking room with us lol, he/she was just sitting back chilling with us a few seats away but the shops pretty dark and the cat was grey so I'll put it down to that! We realise we shouuld prbably head back to the apartment since it was getting on a bit and we were felling pretty tired, turn left out of BEN and just as I'm thinking to myself how hungry I am we suddenly spot BURGER BAR....Yess! Finally, it was like the scene from harold and kumar when they finally get to white castle we were so happy! So we go in and order up..can't remmebr exactly what and grab our other pal D one aswell,3 burgers 3 fries and 3 drinks in hand we decide on a taxi home so D could get his food hot! about 10euro for the taxi I think, ring the buzzer about 4 mins later D gets to the door to let us in...he looks very very stoned and his eyees double in size when he see's the burger bar bag...in we go show him the new bowl we got and our purchases before we opened and doured our meals....they were amazing, I know a few don't rate BB highly on here but every time we went it was top notch! Fed and watered we head t the balcony for an hour or 2 session before bed...last until around 3am before hitting the bed and crashing for the night!

Anyway picking up from where I left off...It's been an eventful first 6 hours in Amsterrdam...but I was already in love with the place, and after picking up some nice gear for the night I had all but got over losing my laptop. As I said my 2 mates were begining to moan about wanting to go back to the apartment so I agreed to take them home...by now it was quite obvious I was the designated leader of the group which I liked to be honest because it meant I could stick to a rough guide of what coffeeshops to go to, plus I was the only one of the 3 of us who could fully function while high!
Being the first day we had totally underestimated just how big the 'small' city was and had decided to walk everywhere (this quickly stopped after the first day lol) so we set off back to the apartment from 420...joint in hand for the walk of course. We get by the front of central station and walk along by Voyagers etc, we were still a good 30/40 min walk to the apartment from here, as we're walking we spot 5 black guys coming towards us, as we approach they start talking to us...just the standard 'where you from blah blah' then one of tthem asks u for a fag...we tell him we have none (we're finished our joints at this point too) they then start asking us if we have any weed on us, again we say no and they kind of snigger and say 'yeah right' at this point I just said 'look, sorry but we don't have anything on us we are heading home for the night to rest' they seem to just accept it and move on..phew! got a bit nervous for a bit there!
Fast forward another 30/40min walk to the apartment and we're home for the night so we think...Get in and we sit our stuff down and js chill for a min...my friends wwant to get high...I suggest heading down the street to te nearby supermarket before we get high....they disagree and want to try the bong first...fair enough I was dying to try it too! So out oonto the balcony it is...load bong with water and ice and put a filter in, grind up some marijuana and proceed to get high, as you'll know a new bong takes you a couple of pulls to get uesed to.we're all pretty fried....I suggest the supermarket again and they agree reluctantly, I'm very glad I ended up the leader of our group as we would hve got nothing done in any kind of time scale leaving it to my friends! Get to the supermarket grab a couple of pizzas some beers some juice,milkl,fruit and cereal etc...back to the apartment and dump our shopping, flick on the tv and roll a joint. Our plans for the night were to sit and chill a bit then head to 1 or 2 coffeshops near us...they were Trefpunt and Happy people...there were a few more but they were the closest to us. So joints rolled we move out to the balcony for another round of bongs...after 4 or 5 rounds we're all suitably baked and begin to smoke our joints, after lighting up and taking a few drags I'm feeling pretty fucked and happy to take it easy tonight, so I'm just smoking away, head leaned back eye closed with music playing through my phone. BUMP,DINK,THUD!! Wtf was that I open my eyes and my friend J is just looking over at me guiltily, 'what did you do?' 'Ehmm I kinda ehmm fuck! Look!' he's pointing to our new bowl/downsttem ts now n 3 pieces on the floor! 'Fuck sakes, your a fool!' I said half serious and half just trying not to laugh/cry. 'I'll pay for the new one' says J 'Damn right you will, that's not what bothers me though...we need to walk all the way bck into the centrum now!' I was kinda glad as I wantd to visit a coffeeshop or 2 but walking around so much earlier on had taken it's toll and I was pretty sore. D of our group, who is the lazyest and least functional when high, doesn't want to treck into the centrum with us...fair enough it's been a long day and all. So me and J head out just after 8pm.

i see at least 2 or 3 everytime i go, i caught a guy going down in voyagers in July, the guy basically feel into my arm , i just let him down slowly so he would rake his head,

Grasshoper sounded sh!te - can`t believe he made you buy 20 euro worth of Manala. It`s not a very nice hash either, if you ask me.
