Hiya.....

Post by se7enty2wo »

Found this place whilst looking for some info on decent coffee shops to visit on my upcoming trip (Jun 27th - Jul 1st). This will be my second time in Amsterdam, first time was in 1996 so it's been a while. I'll be celebrating my birthday whilst there and we've managed to get a hold of tickets to see Brian Jonestown Massacre at Bitterzoet whilst we're over.

Anyway, hopefully I'll get a wee trip report going whilst I'm there with some pics etc. I'm wondering what anyone elses thoughts are on a day trip out of Amsterdam. Not necessarily from a coffee shop perspective, but certainly for a stoned day out. We're either gonna have a day in Haarlem, or Alkmaar. Any suggestions will be welcomed.

Uh, I'm just gonna go find a cash machine....

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the June and July Whos In Town pages.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

My suggestion for a day trip would be Haarlem. It is a 15 minute 7,60 euro return train ride.

If you make it to Haarlem you will want to swing by coffeeshop Birdey for some of their Jelly Hash.

Never saw them play live before. Is it likely to be a complete shambles ala Dig!? Or has he screwed the nut a little since then?

To be honest, I was just commenting on them as a band, I have no Idea what the live show is like...
