In August, it will be my 14th trip to Amsterdam.
There is not a lot of point asking for strain recommendations in May if your trip's not until August.
Strains change daily/weekly, what's there or good today, might not be there in August, or might not be anywhere near as good in August.
I suggest asking again a week or so before you leave.
I know mate.
It's just, I'm itchy to get over there, and my excitment usually kicks in and manifests itself on this forum and others.
Checking out what bud if on offer and where I can get it etc.

I'm really hoping the Grey Area menu is still the same when I arrive, the last time I saw Martian Mean Green was three or four years ago, and I didn't get to sample it then and still haven't.

It's highly unlikely that any coffee shop's menu will be exactly the same in August.
That's why IMO, it's pointless asking now.

Is 420 good for bud?
Good choices  Blues Brothers is also quite cool in that area, their Sticky Fingers Haze was lovely when I was there at the end of March). I do really like 420, great place to chill, weed is good/v.good, wouldn't say exceptional, but always dependable, has now become my first and last stop after Rokerij closing (RIP).

I think Amnesia is always worth a visit! Last time, they had much better pineapple chunk than at Barneys, and I'm a sucker for the LSD (musty, chestnutty, sorta cheesy tasting pheno) they sell (batch permitting), also, they do occasionally have v nice hash (malana, kashmir, afghan pollen, amnesia ice, etc etc)! I've had their malana before and it was v nice!

My favourite experience buying in amsterdam is just going to Grey Area 1st thing and just ask John what he thinks is gr8 right now, never given me a bad recommendation! Had kuchi, dog kush (best so far), golden haze, strawberry sour diesel, pot of gold and Shackzilla. The only bad things I've tried (not bought myself), was their "exodus" (just no-where near the taste or potency of uk cheese) and their grey berry (ok for the price he paid).

Also, casey jones isolator was just devastating from here about 10 month ago! Just the most intense high/stone/buzz I've had in the Dam! I've tried Barney's liberty melt but it didn't even compare to the Casey and was twice as expensive!

and so what is your recommendation, recent visiters of A'dam? Going soon there, and I use to love hazes...never tried Grey Area, but I'm going to change this in my 7 (in think :? ) visit to the great Amsterdam: love Amnesia style, also that one which give my nick name :)) , but I'm not as expert still as I can see here, so your opinion on recent strains is going to be more that appreciate. Peace and longest live to weed!

depends on what you like?

Gandalf has a good list above... def. go with his list... although i didn't like the silver bubble this time... heard the pineapple kush @ green place is good too... just never went in... cuz its usually dead inside.

grey area's got some good stuff.... t light (strawberry sour diesel) is good... cheesiel is good... grey haze is good.

anything from voyagers is good.

kaligra is a really awesome smoke for morning/daytime.... and cheap now @ voyagers like 10 euros a gram.

Hey going to Amsterdam in a few days, just wondering if the above recomendations still stand, or if anyone has some new suggestions for this week? Cheers!
