That picture above looks more like qwiso than BHO.

Agreed, although upon further inspection especially the top-right corner of the gear, one can clearly see a difference in color.
From my limited experience with making QWISO, I noted that the (dark) color was consistent whether at room temperature or after being refrigerated/frozen.
Speaking of which, I think the reason the gear is dark may be because it was just removed from the freezer. If so, after a few minutes at room temperature it would look more like BHO.
Just my 3.5 cents worth. (inflation)

It was just removed from the freezer and my camera/photography skills are a bit shoddy.

I have made & smoked my own BHO & QWIso (and also bought a fair amount of crappy commercially made BHO & QWIso) and having smoked Caramel Cream I am sure it's BHO.
