Bringing a vapouriser on a plane
Bringing a vapouriser on a plane
Hi,
I'm planning a trip Dublin - Amsterdam in a few weeks. I have a Wispr vapouriser, but don't know whether to try to bring it or not. My missus can't smoke, and doesn't particularly want to use the coffee shop vapourisers that have been used by strangers (can't say I blame her).
Would I be safe to bring it anyone?

Yeah, used is what I was refering too as well
What I'd do, is make sure its empty, put it in my checked bag, and then grab a tin of gas from a tobaconist in Amsterdam..

Really? Have always gone against taking used vapes through.. definitely wouldn't take them in hand luggage ... I had a brand new solo that i took in my hand luggage and they took that straight out and asked what it was and then scanned it with the machine thing to see if it had been in contact with drugs ... luckily it was brand new so i got through no hassle but i got the impression had i of used it before bringing it, it would have shown trace amounts of THC in the machine and i would have been in trouble..Twichaldinho wrote:You will be fine.. Re: Bringing a vapouriser on a plane
really not liking the idea now. is it true you can buy your own mouthpieces for the coffee shop vapourisers?

Bring a box of the small Alcohol swabs (pads), also you can always use your fingers as a buffer, i do even when i wipe them clean, i never put my mouth ona used vape, but if you have a volcano just bring your own mouth piece or buy one,
enjoy.
Peace maty

Wouldn't risk a used vape through customs. Vapes are weird enough to draw attention on their own. I'd just do like Matty said and bring some alcohol wipes

I've been bringing my own volcano chamber and pre-cut bags to mokum for awhile now.matty223 wrote:Bring a box of the small Alcohol swabs (pads), also you can always use your fingers as a buffer, i do even when i wipe them clean, i never put my mouth ona used vape, but if you have a volcano just bring your own mouth piece or buy one, bell wrote:really not liking the idea now. is it true you can buy your own mouthpieces for the coffee shop vapourisers?

Disassemble the chamber, screen insert, valve, etc. Soak in alcohol (soapy water), rinse, and let dry.
Disassembled, clean, and spread around your luggage, no one will detect its presence. Also, I don't bring the mouthpiece that clicks on. I just press my mouth directly on the spring-loaded part of the chamber (just make sure it's cool).
Do the same for the return trip. Toss used bags.
I not only like the cleanliness of having my own bagger, but the convenience as well.
Kinda pricey when bought on their own tho...

hope this helps
Re: Bringing a vapouriser on a plane
I'd say if you were going to take it definitely clean it with ISO alcohol before you go and make it clean as possible..
Alternatively if you know anyone in the Dam living there then post it to them and meet and collect it from them..
i posted my solo back from the Dam and it got back home no problem.

Re: Bringing a vapouriser on a plane
It probably depends where you flying from. Some places are stricter than others. I can't imagine london airports Gatewick and Heathrow would allow you to take a used vape through customs. You never know but is it worth the hassle.

Ah, too much stress. i've ordered a brand new VaporGenie Classic on Amazon. Won't even open the box before going. Might post it home.
